If Godzilla couldn't kill Cthulhu all on his own, he would at lest weaken him enough that Gamera finish off.

Which made me think of This.

Yes but it was still funny!

We *NEED* a Godzilla RPG.

Perhaps one that takes you through all 28 movies.

Gamera would win for only Gamera is friend to children.

Every time that I read a post stating that Cthulhu would win I regard it as a failure of our educational system.

Hell, yes! An amphibian with massive tusks that can fly AND has flames that shoot out of its leg-holes?!?!? WINNER!

So is Godzilla 2000' tall? I mean that is a pretty cool model/picture but the size seems way off.

As for the more important question of whether Godzilla or Cthulhu would win let me ask you - what would an insane Godzilla be like? If the stars are right Cthulhu all the way otherwise Godzilla could probably squeeze out a victory (assuming he is smart enough to slam the doors of Cthulhu's crypt close once forcing him back in there).

Godzilla is nothing more than an over-grown Deep One, much like Dagon. Cthulhu is his lord and master.

I dunno... something about this smells fishy to me, but I can't put my finger on what exactly...

Godzilla being a deep one is an interesting concept. It makes me wonder if deep ones have their own paladins.

Regardless, Godzilla can still beat Cthulhu.

Godzilla wears a bow-tie

I'm not sure if this means he beats Cthulhu or not.

Cthulhu was beaten by a yacht. Godzilla once punted a yacht into orbit.

True stories.

I hear that Cthulhu is scared of cats.

Yep, cats.

I guess in the same way that elephants are afraid of little white mice. It seems paradoxical, and yet it is true..

It's over.

What is?

The game. The war. Charlie Sheen won. Cthulhu and Godzilla were unavailable for comment. There's a rumor that both Monster Island and Ryleh are now the properties of Charlie Sheen, but so far this is unconfirmed.

Cthulhu has one of the longest-running RPGs, which has won many prestigious awards. Proof that Cthulhu is superior.

Godzilla just ate Cthulhu with some tartar sauce.

um Cthulhu would kick his arse hands down. He has powers that are "more powerful than you could possibly imagine".

Big C is merely a big sardine who ate too many shrooms and put himself into a sleep comma.

Godzilla is a bad ass, experienced fighter who excels at skirmish level tactics. In the end, ゴジラ would breath-weapon big C into calamari strips.

I'm still waiting for the Godzilla board game that comes complete with minis.

Or, maybe something like WarHammer Fantasy, or BattleTech.

Well, as far as I can tell, Mechagodzilla has come extremely close to killing Godzilla on numerous occasions, inferring that the two are extremely close in strength and abilities. Therefore, if the Power Rangers can defeat Mechagodzilla, i.e. lose to mere humans, then there is no possible way that Godzilla OR Mechagodzilla could stand up to one of the greatest eldritch abominations ever to have walked the earth.

Just sayin' is all :-P.

I miss Cthulhu. Too bad he is such a bad fighter, and that Godzilla kicked his ass.

Hurray Godzilla!!

I think Godzilla had his ancient worshippers as well... but Cthulhu's are out there and active. So what's that going to mean to this fight? Nommuch. Shouldn't have mentioned it. Cthulhu must be warping my mind.

Let's just say they're equal size for the sake of framing a battle. I'd have to pick Godzilla's determination (even more so than his atomic breath) over Cthulhu's mess wiff yo bwain powers on humans.

Godzilla just kind of... wins. Aside from his first film, he wins duels. So it's a part of his myth. Like what happens after Popeye chugs a disgusting can o' spinach. SA Always Wins

That said, he lost when squaring off with King Kong, but only in the American version. In the Japan version, he defeated King Kong, but in the US release King Kong prevailed and swam away.

Sucked, I adore them both. Probably the only time lil me ever said "I hate when you two fight."

Common misconception. King Kong wins the fight in both versions. Which is a bit ridiculous, considering that if you compare the scale of the characters from the original movies, Godzilla would simply step on the (comparatively) tiny King Kong.

At any rate, Cthulhu wins this easily.

Everything's bigger in Texas and Dai-Kaijuland. That's why I let Cthulhu grow 8x to stand toe-to-toe with Zilla. ;)

Thank you for the correction, Kthulhu!

I read the US/Japanese version variation thing somewhere but my only tickle of doubt in it was the memory of aliens in the Monster Zero film (I think) coming to Earth to get Rodan and Godzilla. They used a tractor beam to pull Rodan from the volcano in which he died in the movie Rodan, and I guess they resuscitated or resurrected him, and they also yanked Godzilla out of the ocean (a place I connected to his battle loss with Kong). I might be misremembering it all since I haven't seen those films in thirty years, but if Godzilla had won in the Japanese version and so wasn't dead or in stasis at ocean's bottom, why would Toho Studios choose to go with the American friendly "Godzilla lost" scenario?

Though I think I my have muddled too many films into one and gotten details wrong, what you say cleans it all up anyway.

As for Kong's win, I've noticed that the Japanese seemed to have found it hard to show even fictional dominance over the US in their art after the bombs dropped in WW2. Perhaps that's why Kong won. Anyway, I love Godzilla, but I'm loyal to mammals over lizards (causing quite the family stir given that my daddy was a Komodo Dragon).

Regarding Cthulhu... I got no loyalty to squids.

He's going to fall asleep on the couch from eating too much elder god roast while trying to watch the daikaijubowl?

Godzilla, hands down.

Grand Lodge

The argument is moot. Chuck Norris wipes 'em both out.

Dude, Chuck Norris, in his youth, was Godzilla. Terrible acne, that one.

Silver Crusade

I don't know... Godzilla seems to lack Chuck Norris' lightning fast reflexes and agile kicking ability. He just lumbers around knocking things over like some Steven Seagal wannabe.

It is quite simple. Godzilla would become Big C's most ardent cultist.

It's like I said a few months ago. Godzilla is merely an overgrown Deep One. In fact, he's the 2nd most powerful Deep One, right after Dagon. Making him far inferior to Cthulhu.

Remember that Godzilla is a female so she would most likely be Cthulhu's b*#+@ and therefore Cthulhu does whatever Godzilla wants.

As money is power, I think this battle is truly decided in sales. Seeing as Godzilla is winning in both merchandise and the box office, I declare the big G to be the winner.

Spoiler:

However, Cthulhu is more adorable. :3
