[FROG GOD GAMES] Free Player Map for Slumbering Tsar

Product Discussion

Frog God Games

I know, I know, the Desolation is a beast of a puzzle to put together if you don't already know what it's supposed to look like, and it's the central focus of the first three adventures of the Slumbering Tsar Saga from Frog God Games. All I can say is that when I first designed it to be one book it was my intention for it to be a poster map.

Well, after much customer feedback and tapping the esteemed James Keegan (of Wayfinder and KQ fame) for another of his extraordinary pieces of art, Frog God is providing its first free download (I say first, I don't know if there will be more or not, but I do know that it's the first), a players' map of the Desolation (no doubt pried from some unlucky sucker's dead fingers where he was found out in the muck) that can be distributed when your PCs first arrive in The Camp and start asking around about that Big Wasteland sitting in the settlement's backyard. Or make them build it from clues as they quiz the locals and dig for information. Do whatever you want with it; it's yours and it's free!

Ideally it would have been put into the ST1: Edge of Oblivion adventure, but that has already been released and gone to print. My intention is to include it in the big combined book when the whole thing is released at the end, but until then download it for free here.

Enjoy,

Greg V.

Great, thanks!

Now to get my "big" group (i.e. me and two friends) to decide on whether to start this, continue Kingmaker or have a gritty sandbox in Rogue Trader. (Likely being all three^^)

The Exchange

Fantastic news. I'm looking to start running your masterpiece here sometime soon and this will be very useful. Thank you for listening to the fans!

Good as that was on number one critic about ST.

Likewise. Thank you!

Greg, i know this is an old post, but.....

Any Chance the other maps will be made Available? Like a $5 PDF with just the Players maps or something? Photo Copying out of the Hard Cover is gonna be a Pain, and i can not buy a $90 PDF for maps... Nor cut them out of the book haha.

Just Bought the Hard Cover and get to start running it soon :)

Thanks
Jon

I'll see if its easy to un-layer them

Would they need to be unlayered? The last X many pages from the 90$ PDF has them in player format? Thats why i was thinking it would be easy.

I could be wrong though... happens alot *points at his other posts*

The pdf (whenever it finally gets posted) comes with the purchase of the big book through FGG (and I assume through Paizo but don't know that for sure), and has the player version of the maps in it for easy printing. Now if we can just get the pdf uploaded.

Should it be available in the same place as all the individual subscription pdfs?

I'd have to answer that question with another question:

Do you expect the publisher for every product you buy at a gaming store to provide you with a PDF of that product, based on your say-so ?

If you saw my Above post, You would see that i asked if we can BUY the Maps....

I was just curious, because there was a few things said to that regard, and plus its silly, it's a document we all already have in hard copy.

Frog God Games

In fairness to Goraxes, he did ask if it would be for sale (which I totally missed, btw). I just assumed he had purchased through Paizo or FGG.

Goraxes,I'll talk to Bill about it and see what we can do. t seems like a Map Pack should be doable.

@ Greg,

When I clicked on your link I never got to the free download site. It was a blog about the Kickstarter RA project. Could it be that something happened to it? Or was I looking in the wrong place? Or possibly 2 years behind the times? I have the hardcover and am waiting on the PDF to be uploaded. I guess it could be that I already have the map you originally posted about. In that case all I can say is, "OOOPS!"

Same thing happened to me. Took me to the home page but couldn't go anywhere else. Don't use the link. Go to the Frog God homepage by itself. Go to products. Click on the Slumbering Tsar, and there it is.

Funny though. I already had this map. Or is there another one? Now Im confused.

Frog God Games

The maps on the downloads link of the Slumbering Tsar products page have been there a while. We have player maps in the book that are duplicates of the DM maps with the numbers and such removed. They will also be found in the full pdf, once we can get that uploaded to the A+ Download site.

Here is the direct link to the stand alone player map of The Desolation. I am not sure if Greg's old link lead directly to it when he first linked it, but Blonde Frog has been moving things around on our website.

Anything new on this ? :D

Jon

The pdf is up on Bytes Interactive A+Downloads now, including the player maps.

@Goraxes - where did you buy your book?

Dark Archive

Is the full PDF going to be available to those who ordered from Paizo? Currently it's just the 14 parts broken up with only DM maps from what I can see.

I'd like to be able to print Player Maps from the PDF instead of trying to use a copier machine.

Paizo will have to answer that question. I'd place it on their product page for a quicker response.
