The Wild Hunt - Perfect for Kingmaker

Kingmaker

The Exchange

Looking through my ancient and battered copy of Deities and Demigods (the original 1E printing), I saw in the Celtic Mythos section the entry for the Wild Hunt and realized that it would be a great addition to Kingmaker.

I see that there are stats for a CR27 (!) version of it HERE, but the original 1E Huntsman was a 15th-Level Ranger with 20 hounds of about 6-10 HD each, so that's a little more in line with the power level of this AP.

Anyone out there built some Pathfinder stats for this force of Nature?

Now I just have to figure out when to put it into the campaign....(rubs hands gleefully)

Yap, same here, I also remembered it being in that book and converted it to PF and my KM campaign.

My version:
Master of the Wild Hunt; Orion, King of Forest and Fields; Herne, the Hunter
CR 20
This being appears to be a tall human with powerful muscles, glowing green eyes, ivory skin. He wears a shining metal armor with golden ornaments depicting a majestic stag, his large silver helm is decorated with the antlers of a great stag. He also carries a hollowed-out animal horn and longbow. He is riding a dun colored horse and is constantly followed by a pack of white wolf-hounds.

Declare Favoured Enemy (Ex) The Master of the Wild Hunt can divide the total of his Favoured Enemy bonus between five different creature types before combat as he sees fit. The total bonus is +18.

The Master of the Wild Hunt is a mysterious figure who appears when great evil threatens the land. When the Wild Hunt appears, the Master and the Hunt materialize in a cloud of thick fog 10 miles away from their prey. The Master sounds his horn – which can be heard for a mile in all directions – and the hunt begins. For every mile the Hunt moves, the Master sounds his horn again.

Mind you, it is not a direct conversion, I basically made him a better ranger. Also, note, that in my campaign I have evil and good fey battling for the material world and the hunter is more or less a on neither side.

Ruyan.

There are stats for Wild Hunt in MMV, you might check there.

The 3.5 Monster Manual 5 version of the Wild Hunt has the Master at CR 22 and the Hounds at CR 18. You may want to check it out (even if you want a lower CR-range).
