Arcane Inquisitor Variant?

I was wondering while looking at making an inquisitor of Nethys, why not an inquisitor who uses wizard schools (and sub schools) instead of domains. Possibly a variant spell list, something close to the witch's spell list combining arcane with divine. Then maybe replace someother class functions, such as bane and greater bane, with blade thirst or disruptive and spellbreaker. Any other thoughts or possible variant ideas? I see this variant as something of a mage hunter or hunter mage, or however you see it. Judgement could be used to close the distance to a wizard or other major caster through the more protective powers and then shifting to the more attack orrientted powers once in melee range. Access to arcane spells would allow for better counter spell chances.

Cheliax

Short answer : Because arcane magic is much more powerful than divine magic.

I will let other people get into the long answer from here on out though.

I think you'd have to limit it to 3 Schools + universal (chosen at 1st) since Arcane magic can be very power.

does the magus not do it for you???

hahahaha just kidding.

anyway an arcane version would be nice, but only if they call it the mage hunter variant.

It would step on the bard's toes a bit too much imo. I'd rather have a bard variant with a lot of alternative abilities.

For a class with disruptive and spellbreaker with good offense and defense against spellcasters, the Arcane Duelist (Bard kit in the APG) achieves this very well already.

For a ranged arcane specialist with good hunting abilities, a ranger/wizard arcane archer accomplishes this very well.
