Elemental Eidolon

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there any feat I could have my Eidolon take to make it an Elemental?

Dark Archive

No.

Are you wanting it to be classified as a Elemental or just look like one?

There should be no reason why you couldn't make one that looks like a elemental but there is no way to make one be classified as a elemental.

I was hoping to find a feat to allow it to benefit from the Augment Elemental feat. Do creatures with elemental subtypes count as elementals in general (for example, to take extra from a ranger with favored enemy), or is it by only a creatures base type that it can be considered an elemental?

Since the elemental type does not exist in Pathfinder (it's just a subtype of outsider now), there is no favored enemy elemental. If you look at the ranger in Pathfinder, there isn't even a favored enemy outsider (elemental).

Oh wow...so I guess the conversion of the feat would be anything you summon with an elemental subtype?

Well, I guess, but I would check the elemental subtype for any special immunities. There's a reason the eidolon is an untyped outsider.

Wait till April. You'll have more Eidolon stuff to play with

What happens in April?

Ultimate Magic. Apparently, all the happy-fun-joyfest feats, magic items, spells, character options for the summoner will be in that book. You'll be looking at subtypes, body types (bird, most likely), evolutions, etc.

I certainly hope bird type is fixed. It's annoying, as that glaring issue was pointed out repeatedly during the playtest. I'm also hoping extra heads, and boosting base speed without limbs is fixed as well (extra legs does not equal extra speed, if you don't think so, compare the speed of a centipede and a cockroach!).
