Holy cow, I just ran into these and this is extremely impressive. I particularly love the cutouts and stat cards! Amazing stuff!

Am I just weird that I generally like the landscape sheets better?

Liberty's Edge

I love these but I don't really understand why some boxes have text in them where I should be writing. For example the Abilities/Ability Modifier column. Am I supposed to just write the modifier on top of STR? It looks cluttered and hard to read.

These are great. The only reason I don't currently use them is the seeming inability to have all knowledge skills, crafts and professions. Is there some way around this? I need at least two slots, preferably three, for craft and profession + all knowledges.

Liberty's Edge

After including all Knowledges, I have nine empty slots for Craft, Perform and Profession on my Oracle sheet.

Really? That's cool. I wonder what I did wrong? I'll try again (using witch sheet).

Okay, indeed. My mistake. Let me correct myself. These are great and I'm going to use them :)

I'll admit that's probably my least favorite part too. I understand the concept of making it easy for everyone to see what numbers go where... (and on the class specific pages it's pretty useful!) but I do have trouble reading what I wrote in there. Especially ugly on the skills section.

I suppose we could just see {STR] and reference the first page... but I do like to have as much math as possible already worked out.

Not sure there's any solution to it though.

Oh man! my favourite Character sheets ever!!

im so sorry, that i couldnt help with the spanish translation, but i just cant get in the links that you sended me for that.

im still wanting to help in any thing i could, but i rather sending you mails with .doc archives and such.

I'm still trying to work out how. It's only a little stat and some explanation, certainly not big enough for its own page, but it doesn't really fit anywhere on the other sheets either?

Just out of curiosity, are you presently working on any other archetypes? Specifically Sanctified Slayer, Ghost Rider Cavalier, Master Summoner, and Urban Bloodrager. Also is there any chance that donations could possibly help speed along certain archetypes?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Not any time soon, I'm afraid. Real life has distracted me for much of the last year, and shows no sign of going away and leaving me in peace.

op3rator wrote:

I wish I could say yes, but realistically probably not. Not least because I don't have any mechanism for tallying up the 'votes' thus cast.

If you had these as an output plug in for Herolab, I'd pay money for them. IF there is one thing that Herolab really falls down on, compared to PCGen, it's output.

Since it is only an optional alternate ruleset, you could probably give it its own page (or half page) like you did for lycanthropy and those other things.

Just a thought.

Pathfinder in Japanese

Anyone want to help translate into Japanese? I know less than I think I do.

...though with the help of a Japanese 3.5 character sheet and Google Translate, I'm up to 40%.

A note to everyone who's ever emailed me and not had a response: I'm sorry. I'm trying to catch up with reading all the emails now, but I'm still about a year behind. Please don't be angry.

As I go through them all, I'm making a note of which classes and bugs get mentioned the most often, and any other ideas. For example, somebody suggested hex-shaped map tokens, which is a brilliant idea - and obvious in hindsight.

An open question, based on an email. Can anybody suggest a good way of making the gender selection more inclusive? I can't hope to cover *every* possible case, but maybe I can do just a little bit more?

Not a bunch of hoops I would want to jump through... however, my immediated suggestion would be to just leave it blank and let people write in whatever they want... like the weight and age category. We don't need check boxes for every option, just take it out.

For that matter, gender is pretty much one of the least used things on a character sheet ANYWAY... I've had to double check my age or weight or height in game... I've never had to go back and check or have my DM check my gender...

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Yeah, I think a blank space might be the best way to do it. Instead of 2 boxes to check, maybe just an oblong space for a player to write in M, F, T, I, ⚦,♂,☿,, etc. Since this a fantasy game, even the most inclusive system will fall short of the gender diversity of aliens, dwarves, and extra-dimensional insectoids.

Are you thinking of Pratchett's dwarves, by any chance?

Good to have another source for free character sheets out there. ;)

What would be PERFECT should be a sheet for Spheres of power things. Not a new character sheet for each classe, but at least 1 sheet where you can put your spheres, your talents, caster level, spell pool, ...

Sadie, just wanted to put a quick thank you out there for these amazing sheets and for making the code available. I have a number of houserules that include a slight change to some of the skills and we've incorporated the Background Skill system from Unchained as well, so traditional sheets just couldn't cover what we needed them to do. A download of Inkscape later and I was able to alter the sheets for our use.

The finished result.

Nothing I would have made would have ended up looking even half as polished. Coming from using the (also excellent) Neceros sheets, the whole group is excited to transition over to yours and get our houserules all officially on the sheets.

Thanks again!

I'm glad to see it working for you. Skills are one of the things that get house-ruled a lot, which is why the skill list includes blank spaces to allow you to fill in your own, and there's an option now to leave the skill list completely blank so you can fill them in.

If you look here, you can see all the fonts I used in the project. Using the same ones as I've used could make it look even sharper for your players. The two I've used are Roboto (for the smaller text) and Merriweather Black (for the title). Oh, and they're both 100% legal to use like this, before anyone asks :)

Vote for Spheres of Power has been noted. I do actually keep a big list of all the stuff people ask for most often, even if I only work my way through the list slowly.

Oh, fantastic. Yeah, I didn't have them installed and wasn't able to match them, so I just did my best with what I had. There was a brief moment when I considered changing things to Exocet, but I'm neither doing a Planescape nor a Diablo campaign :P

I also would like to see a Spheres of Power character sheet. I imagine it could be styled after the Neceros sheet with additional columns in the 'CLASS' section for CL, Spell Pool, etc.

Would you be willing to make the Class from Tome of Secrets, the Warlord Class Character Sheet? I ask since you already did some for Tome of Secrets.

I'd love a SoP sheet, but also Spheres of Might is scheduled to release later this year - definitely preemptively putting in a vote for that one too.

I'm still hoping for PoW sheets myself but I still use these for every character I make even if I use the Generic one.

Not sure how in demand it would be, but if your taking suggestions.... It seems like we've been running across a LOT of monsters lately that damage your weapons and armor... and EVERY time we have to look up the Hardness and Hit points of the various weapons.

Might be nice to have that marked somewhere on the weapon stuff?

Really? I've literally never touched those rules. They're on the pile of "stuff our group doesn't care about", along with keeping track of the random collection of feathers, little statues, miniature shovels, butter, stones, bones, leather bits and mouse blood that wizards are supposed to use for casting spells.

You don't know if your party has butter? Outrageous how do you know if you can make toast then?

yeah, like I said... not sure the demand is there. However the last three games, we've run across some oozes and some statue constructs that does damage with every hit to my weapons...

So yeah... We USUALLY don't bother with sundering and stuff either... but for some reason it's REALLY a part of THIS AP..

How about using the "Effects" section in the bottom-right of the combat sheet to track weapon damage? That's there for various temporary status changes and things of that nature.

A reminder to everybody who uses the contact form on the website: unless you include your email address, I can't reply to you!

Which character sheets are you presently working on, and which Archtypes? Any ideas on when a new batch will be uploaded? :)

Sorry, but I can never give an answer to 'when'. I have a day job and other demands on my time. I can only spare what time I can to this project.

I recently went through more than a year of emails and collated a big list of the bugs people reported and the classes and archetypes they most want to see.

Did I say a big list? I meant to say a BIG list.

Anyway, the next release will be mostly focused on translations and bugs. There are Russian and Portuguese translations nearing readiness, and things to fix in the Italian and German versions. There are some bugs at present like "Nothing on this page is translated. At all." and "This entire page is nothing but the word 'Licht' over and over and over."

Greetings! I've messaged you via the contact form, but I'll post here too.

For entirely non selfish reasons, I'm interested in helping with the Italian translation.

Is the guide on the website still valid? I noticed the project's folder structure definitely differs from the one detailed on the website.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Hi,

I don't see a message from you. When was this?

Yes, more translator volunteers are always welcome. I'll send you a PM to sort out the details.

The bad news is that the "Translate" page on the website isn't really up to date at all. The good news is that I have a much better process for the translation now, with a website where people can work together on the translations, and clever scripts(*) to take the work they've done and automatically translate hundreds of pages into a dozen languages. Much better than emailing spreadsheets around.

(* and the bad news is those scripts take hours and hours and hours run.)

Do you have any plans to make Starfinder character sheets when Starfinder is released in August?

Unclear. I'll certainly be looking at it, and quite possibly playing it. Since it's supposed to be very close to the same system as Pathfinder, there's a good chance I'll be able to re-use a lot of the material with a different font and some assets (see this and this). The key question is whether it would be an entirely separate system, like 3.5, or whether there's the capacity to play bits of them together at all.

Are there any Fighter Archetypes on your make list? Or anyone elses, since I know it's Open Source?

I was surprised to discover (on going carefully through a whole year of emails) that Fighter archetypes are consistently at the top of the list of what people ask for. So they're definitely on my plan.

It's weird. For years I didn't even know what I'd put on the Fighter's sheet, since 80% of what they do is feats that any player could take, like Power Attack and Vital Strike, that make the maths really complicated. It's not unheard of for the Fighter in the group to do as much math as all the magic casters added together. Eventually I came up with the current design, that basically looks like a really intricate tax form and is intended to make it easier to handle the complex maths. But I've never quite felt it was finished.

---

Note: work on the Russian translation, and a surprise change by Google, have necessitated me to make some font changes in the next version. These changes are fairly subtle, but do affect every page. Especially the Barbarian and its special font.

Russian Barbarians. Giving me headaches.
