[FREE] Pathfinder Core Rulebook Spell Cards

Finally after about a year of work I have finished a set of spell cards for use with the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. The cards are formatted for printing both back and front and are either 2.5x3.75" or 5x3.75" depending on the amount of text. The cards are intended as game aids to bring a bit of color to the game table and to help remember what a spell actually says.

These spell cards are intended for use with the Pathfinder RPG and use the spell text from the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Reference Document (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/).

The following class spell packages are now available:

Bard
Cleric (part 1, part 2, part 3)
Druid
Paladin
Ranger
Sorcerer (part 1, part 2, part 3)
Wizard (part 1, part 2, part 3)

These cards are licensed under the OGL 1.0a, the Paizo Publishing, LLC Community Use Policy, and the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives – 3.0 Unported licenses. Licenses for artwork listed in the Artwork Licenses and Credits section take priority on a case-by-case basis.

WOW! These are VERY well done and professional looking. I honestly think if you had the contacts and resources to do so, you could sell these, I would GLADLY pay 25 bucks for a nice set of these.

Over half the artwork used is either under copywrite or another license that prevents me from selling them even if I wanted to. Anyways, I'd rather reach a larger audience than to make a few dollars off these. I hope you get some enjoyment from them.

I do hope that you have the time/inclination/ability to do a set for the APG, as I can only imagine that they would turn out to be as wonderful as these. I know that I'm going to be distributing these to my gaming groups straight away!

I've reuploaded the wizard spell files and it now works when I tested the downloads/pdf.

I may create cards for the APG or Companion books at a later date, but for now this is it. The time-consuming part of the process is finding artwork that is not tied down under copyright or other restrictions. I'm going to enjoy a bit of a break after spending a year on these cards.

Im sure that if you put the request out on the boards, the people here would be happy to submit unrestricted artwork for you to use. There are a lot of talented artists that play DnD that would love that.

I'm not so sure about that. Last time I posted asking for help/artwork I got a lot of promises but very little follow-thru. Either way, it will be a while before I even take a look at making any other cards. However, I can make the templates I used available if others are interested in making similar cards.

I would be very interested in the templates. And you said the artwork was the only copyright issue you were aware of? That seems like an easy solution if you wanted to really take these for a spin.

These are absolutely amazing. For some reason I'm having problems opening the zipped files, though--it keeps telling me the file is damaged or broken. I'm using 7zip to extract them. Am I the only one having this problem?

I'm glad you enjoy them. Please note that these haven't been updated with most errata, so there will be some differences from the current version of the rules. Also, if there is the interest I can see about making the original .psd masters available for others to play around with.

Frankly the idea - and execution - is so good that Paizo should put something like this out, im surprised they haven't already put out cards for the spells seeing how many other card decks they have put out for Pathfinder!

I tried downloading the files from your first post. However, they all showed up as .RAR files. I have no knowledge of how to use those types of files.

WinRAR is a free unzipping tool. You should be able to find it using Google or a similar browser. It is theoretically better than Winzip.

However, after you use it all the files you zip will be .RAR and only unzipped with WinRAR, or at least that has been my experience.

Assuming you're using Windows, that should be just a matter of file-type associations, Dark Sasha - it can be fixed in one of the options menus.

If I recall correctly WinRAR has only a certain number of free uses, then you must buy it.

While I use Windows 7 I hesitate to give any more of my money to Microsoft than necessary.

Hi, I'll take a look at the cleric archive, but I'm doubtful it has gone corrupt. You may need to just download again.

For .rar files, the free program 7zip should unzip them without any problems.

Okay, I just downloaded the cleric archive and extracted it without any problems using 7zip. In order to extract it properly, you have to download part1, part2, and part 3 and have them all in the same directory. It is one .pdf file split into 3 parts due to filesize limitations on Google Sites (or there were back when I did the original uploads).
