I think Paizo should bundle the PFS Scenarios (a full season) for a reasonable price

Pathfinder Society

So, I was having a discussion with my best friend about GMing for PFS and we discovered that we needed to buy the modules for PFS. Well, we don't really mind paying for them, but what we thought would be totally awesome is that since Paizo is on Season 2 of the mods, they could bundle the previous season mods and sell them for a reasonable price that would allow for a bit of a discount on them. Wouldn't that be awesome? It's kind of like buying a tv series on DVD, but instead of buying one dvd at a time you buy the whole season. Now I understand that there might be some who don't want ALL of them, so they should still be able to be purchased individually, but also give the consumer the option of being able to buy all of them. Does anyone else agree?

I would totally buy something like this. I don't want to commit to buying each individually (full-time student) but if I could buy all the scenarios in a bundle for a discounted price, that would be awesome.

Hell, if they'd release print compilations of all the scenarios (maybe once a year, or once a season or whatever) I'd be up for paying a chunk of change for 'em.

Agreed.

I would pay the 50 dollars for it. Season one, Hell yeah!

Well I would not go 50, but still it is a great idea, as it selling them in bundles of 4 or 5

+1 Even a POD. For non-society gaming they work great (with tweaks) as a "Oh frak, I don't have any idea what to run tonight!" stopgap.

I believe Print on Demand compilations of the scenerio's would be an excellent idea.

Count me in as a purchaser for a product like that!

5/5

@ $3.39 ea (AP subscriber price), a full season would cost $95.

Paizo is first and foremost a business. They are not going to give these away at over a 50% discount (or more!).

There are other options to get these scenarios for free, including volunteering at a large convention.

At only $3.99 each or $3.39 with a subscription discount, I'm not sure how much more of a discount is needed for essentially a one-shot mod. Would Paizo really make up the loss in revenue from a lower price with increased sales? Between the editing and picture costs they cannot be making much profit on these to begin with. Not to mention that they are somewhat of a niche product, or at least more so than the maps line or other core material.

But if they go to the additional work of putting together a whole SEASON of content into one super bundle, it's gotta be cheaper right? ;)

And for the record, I'd also buy it at a ridiculously high % off normal price.

While I can't speak to bundles of PDFs (really, isn't there a point where the scenarios aren't being bought as much anymore?) I was talking about a dead tree compilation.

Don't get me wrong, as a consumer I would love to see a huge discount. Although as a PFS fanatic and event coordinator, I buy them as they are released. Without knowing the diminishing rate of purchase after the initial year, it's hard to know if making a compilation available would make a measurable difference in later sales. Most of the PFS games that I know of are still running a mix of season zero & one. That and seeing the increase in participation over the past year, and I'd speculate that the purchase of older scenarios doesn't drop off much once the initial rush is over.
