Is there a consistent place on the site to look for announcements like about Inner Seas Races? If I hadn't seen the discussion here, I would know nothing about it. Attending conventions is not really in the cards for me, so I rely on what I see here on the site.
Just go to each of the product lines and sort the results by "Newest First."

OK, so there's no place where these are officially announced online? I figured a day or so after the official convention announcement, there would be something here other than spoilers from those that attended. Or name drops from folks like yourself.

For the record, "Races of the Inner Sea" (or whatever it is called) didn't show up in the product line and searching the site for it came up dry, too.

Not as far as I know. That'd probably be a good idea, but that's not something we apparently do. Maybe make a suggestion to the tech team? I do know that adjustments to the site are constant and ongoing... and having a "coming soon" area might be on the list, but I've got my head pretty much down here on the ground floor in other sorts of mayhem than that.
Fair enough. So, since I forgot a question last time, how's it going maintaining your weight loss? Have you taken up any extreme sports yet?

As it turns out, conventions and traveling and being super busy on deadlines is a great combination for not staying healthy. I've put a few pounds on as a result... I'm up about 30 pounds from where I wanna be. Which is still about 140 pounds below where I've been for the past several years. But yeah... now that PAX is behind us I'm gonna go back on the diet for a month or two for a tune up and go from there.

What spells are available to non-core classes?
Burning arec seem a good candidate for a Magus;
Cultural Adaption maybe for the Witch and Inquisitor
Summon Totem Creature for a summoner.

Ummm... summon totem creature is indeed a summoner spell. And while burning arc and cultural adaptation might make sense for other classes (and if you want to make them available in your game, go for it!)... we chose NOT to extend them to those classes.

- Ablative Sphere:

while it is an interesting spell it is decidedly unclear.
When the sphere take damage?
From area spells?
Melee and missile attacks?
The attacks should be aimed at the sphere or at the protected guy (and the sphere is damaged when its AC bonus protect the caster)?
If you must aim to the sphere to damage it, what is its AC?

The sphere takes damage whenever it's hit by anythign that does damage, be that an area effect spell or any attack that hits you (kind of like how stoneskin's hit points or protection from energy's hit points deplete as you are hit).

You can certainly aim attacks at the sphere itself, but if you just want to attack the person it's protecting you can do that as well. If you hit, you do damage to the creature AND to the sphere.

Ablative Sphere is confusing. It says immobile sphere, does that mean the caster cannot move from their spot?

And does the spell also give improved cover to targets outside the sphere from the caster?

Questions like this one are best asked on the rules forum for an FAQ tag.

One more Ablative Sphere question.

It's not clear on HOW it gets damaged.

It provides Improved Cover. So say the spell gives the caster AC 18. Can you attack the sphere solo or are you always targeting the caster? I see no AC for the sphere, so I assume it cannot be targeted.

If you fail to hit the caster, does the sphere take damage or no? If you succeed in hitting the caster, does the caster AND the sphere take damage? Or is it only the sphere that takes damage? This spell is not exactly clear.

And still a good question for the rules boards! :-)

Craft is the skill you'd use for creating artwork.

Perform is the skill you'd use for sharing or showing the artwork.

Profession is the skill you'd use to sell other people's artwork.

1) In my Shackles campaign, the party's first [potential] captain died at the end of module 1 fighting Scourge and Plugg. He was an assassin who used the trademark Red Mantis Assassin weapons but wasn't part of their rank. To commemorate him, the new crew put the weapons over the ship nameplate and named the ship "Murder at Sea". If the Red Mantis Assassins heard about this, how would they feel?

2) Would they feel notably worse once this ship and crew seemed to be rising in the ranks and became a potential challenger to the Hurricane King?

Indifference is fine for both answers. I just want to plan appropriately on if they would feel positive or negative about either of these.

1) They would not approve and would likely send agents to... "investigate."

2) Probably! ;-)

Nope. At that point you're better off doing an animate object since the bones are from all over the place. That's more construct territory than undead territory.

in pathfinder?
No. I'm not sure that'd be something that the internet would gracefully accept, for one thing. For another, I think Mythic goes as far as we need to go for playing the game. Playing gods changes the fundamental nature of the game so much that it'd have to be an entirely new and separate game from Pathfinder in order to do the job right.

If WOTC revives Primal Order to serve that niche and includes rules for adapting Pathfinder to it, will you sue them?

Hey James. I know Lirgen isn't really your thing, but I was still wondering: if you were to design a Lirgeni observatory-dungeon, what would it look like? What kind of architectural style? Any cool special features other than the obvious telescopes, orreries, etc.?

There's a little bit of Lirgen info in Lost Kingdoms that mentions the nation loved triangles, and their buildings featured ample balconies and skylights, but that's about all I could find.

Thanks for any thoughts!

First... My apologies. I read your comments on the dual shield thread and replied before seeing your second post. I don't think I was insulting or offensive, but I was too quick on the trigger, so I apologize. As you said, sometimes it's difficult not to be passionate about this game.

Anyway, that reminded me of a great game named Shovel Knight, by Yacht Club. So I'd like to ask you:

2- If you do, have you ever played Shovel Knight?

If you haven't... Do play it. It's awesome! And the sound track is amazing! :)

What mental stats would you say are top priority for the new slayer class? It's evident that it's charisma for the swashbuckler and bloodrager, and wisdom for the hunter or warpriest. The slayer doesn't seem to NEED many mental stats, apart from a decent wisdom to keep their will saves good.

What kind of threat would it take for Varisia's three major power players, Korvosa, Magnimar and Riddleport, to form some sort of alliance? A Chelaxian invasio-urk!-I-mean-reclamation? Sorshen or Xanderghul getting up from their millennia long naps? Mhar turning over in bed?!

Was Mandraivus (the guy who defeated Kazavon) Taldan or Chelaxian? I know he was from Lastwall but considering he had allies as diverse as Shoanti and Ustalavic, I'm not sure.

Hey James. With the Advanced Class Guide out, are there any details you can spare on the alignments and deities of the new Iconics? I help with character articles on a wiki-esque site for Pathfinder, and having that data to fill in would really satisfy the completionist in me.

Heya, James. Can you settle a disagreement between my GM and I? He says that gunslingers can't load for free multiple times in a round with the Lightning Reload deed and Rapid Reload/alchemical cartridges, and I say they can. Who is correct?

Also, can you sort out the issue with kobolds with the alternate racial trait Gliding Wings and the kobold feat Draconic Glide (thread here), please?

Thanks!

Have you played the game "Five Nights at Freddy's"?

Silver Crusade

Can someone buy Griffon Mane Studded Leather armor? Light armor is listed with the price modifier but it says "Wearing a cloak, robe, clothing outfit, or padded or quilted armor made of griffon man grants a +2 competence bonus on Fly checks."

Also, the standard Roc in Bestiary 1 is Gargantuan sized and has an "average" fly maneuverability. The 'Roc Companions' listing below that has an 80ft fly speed but doesn't list the fly maneuverability. What would the fly maneuverability be for a Medium or Large Roc animal companion?

Both of these questions are in regards to playing in PFS.

For just the core races, what class/archetype would you say typifies the race as a whole given the breadth of options in PF? For example, I would think elves would be almost split between rangers or wizards/arcanists. I say wizard/arcanist because I question a typical elf's ability to put the focus into wizardry the class's fluff can imply and arcanist feels more tinker-y.

It would look like a combination of some of the ancient Dwemer architecture in the Elder Scrolls, modern observatory styles, and maybe some of the ancient ruins in the Assassin's Creed games, I suppose. All using triangles as a primary theme.
