My guess would be the Green Faith.

1. Including the upcoming Occult classes, what are your favorite classes out of the classes released since the beginning, in order by theme?

2. How about by mechanics?

3. Did I even have a chance of getting the whole list in order either time? I thought not, so I didn't bother to ask for ALL of them in order.

4. So, since I hear Golarion folk went to Earth in Rasputin must die, and that Baba Yaga is from Earth originally, will we ever have adventures where Earthlings go to Golarion?

5. Would you use new classes for Earthlings? If so, what kinds?

6. What is the group name for people from Golarion? You know, like how people from Earth are Earthlings?

7. Given that on Golarion the Aboleths created humans, and we evolved naturally on Earth, does that mean Aboleths had knowledge of Earth humans and used them as a pattern or reference for their creation on Golarion? Did they port a handful over and start a colony? Did they just somehow randomly create the exact same species? Or are Golarion humans somehow different than Earthlings?

1) There's over 30 classes, so I'm not gonna rank them all. I'll say that my favorites are bard, cleric, rogue, and swashbuckler, in that order. Paladin is my least favorite.

2) Doesn't make a difference.

3) Nope.

4) Probably not.

5) Nope; they'd use the non caster classes.

6) Can't remember... and not eve sure we've decided. Probably "Golarians." Dunno. It's not a word we need much.

7) I don't believe we've actually said "Aboleths created humans" on Golarion. They've certainly guided and influenced and manipulated humanity. In any event, the original source of humanity, be it from Golarion or Earth or Androffa or somewhere else is unlikely to ever be said in stone in our products.

1. When it comes to outsiders and gender is it possible for a person to swap genders when becoming a fiend. In hell the soul is basically destroyed and rebuilt so it's nothing like it once was, would an originally male soul become a female Erinyes. In the abyss would an originally female soul become a incubus because that suited that sins more.

2. Can Devils change there gender, would it be as simple as purchasing a elixir of sex shifting or would it be harder then that.

3. Are there any female pit fiends in Hell?

In Pathfinder, all physical attribute bonuses exist as belts, and all mental attribute bonuses as headbands. However, there's no actual rule in the rulebook that actually requires it be that way.

Is not listing it explicitly a decision, or a handwave saying "they'll understand"? And if the latter, is there any chance that could be added to a FAQ or errata?

1) Yes, absolutely. That sort of change is a drop in the bucket compared, say to the transformation from human to Abyssal larva to glabrezu.

2) They could, but I don't think many, if any, would want to. Outsiders are pretty rigid in their ways of thought, particularly lawful ones. It's possible though.

This doesn't need a FAQ, really. It is what it is. If you want to create a belt of wisdom or a ring of intelligence or a helm of dexterity type thing... go for it. We have a LOT of internal style decisions in how we present our rules, and we don't make all of them public because it's not all that important. The rules are full enough already without clarifying these things to such an excruciating level of detail.

A new Cosmo would be selected from the remaining supplicants. AKA it's not a contract that binds Cosmo, it's a law of the cosmos that predates language or thought or being. Hence the name.

Doing a search of this thread, I saw some old responses that tentatively said Queen Abrogail is about 24 years old (actually, 22 in a post from 2 years ago) and came to the throne around 4707. Are those still good estimates?

What relationship was she to her predecessor, King Infrexus?

Does Cheliax have an official line of succession to the throne? It seems like, in the Thrune era at least, new rulers take the throne by stepping over the corpses of their murdered predecessors. But surely a lawful evil regime like the Thrunes would at least have a pretense at a legal order of succession?

Did Abrogail become queen because she was the designated successor, or did she win a power struggle?

Also... spoiler for Reign of Winter...

Spoiler:
Who is the canonical queen of Irrisen now (4715)? I realize the adventure paths are not automatically canon because of the wide variety of possible outcomes... but Baba Yaga was due to return in 4713, so Elvanna can't still be queen unless she managed to defeat Baba Yaga.

Yes, she's in her mid 20s.

There's not much said about her relationship with her predecessor, but obviously she's better than he ever was. The history bears that out. What increasingly little of it remains in print.

Hey James,

I'm having some confusion over the rules and a previous comment you made. I was wondering if you could make things clear for us at home.

Years ago Soporific Lotus wrote:

This question had the unfortunate problem of having a question followed by a statement to the contrary of the question, namely "do bardic masterpieces count as bardic performances."

You responded with a simple "Yes."

Were you saying that Bardic Masterpieces are not Bardic Performances or that Bardic Masterpieces are bardic performances?

This would clear up a lot of questions for me in a simple sentence.

What Sarkorian clan was Areelu Vorlesh born into? I imagine her power didn't manifest in childhood like a sorcerer's might since as a witch she'd had to have had the knowledge of demons in order to bargain with one so she could get it as a patron who'd grant her witch powers. The rules forums are the right place to ask those questions. Sorry if no one's responded to that question, but that's kinda out of my sphere of influence. Further, when I do answer rules questions here, they tend to cause schisms in the fan base and here at Paizo that I'd rather avoid.

In the end, your GM should be able to answer this question for you, rendering what we say here on these forums moot.

I hope so, but RPG customers are pretty resistant to change and cling hard to previous printings and incarnations of things like this. It's a step in the right direction, but whether or not folks will be willing to let go of prejudices engendered by D&D or Tolkein or whatever... only time will tell.

1) Depending on the nation and setting, most of them would. Sarenrae even; she did pretty much smite Ninshabur... although she's mellowed out a lot since then. I could see Iomedae or Torag doing something like this to an evil nation. Or Nethys, for that matter. Rovagug for sure. Depending on the story you want to tell, you could get most anything going. That said, we tend to avoid these stories, or if we DO tell them, they take place in a historical context, as something the gods did long ago but have not done so again anytime relatively soon.

2) It very easily could, which is another reason why the gods did it more often long ago and not so much today.

3) Clerics or other powerful worshipers are the preferred methods by which the gods impact and influence the mortal realm. This doesn't break those "rules" at all... in fact, it's the way the rules encourage the gods to move in this realm.

4) Probably not. Desna might, if she had much more of a stake in the region, but not a lawful deity. The way Iomedae interacts with this is to invest PCs or other mighty heroes with power, as detailed in "Wrath of the Righteous."

I always grant them items at half-price if they possess the crafting feats; this is often the ONLY WAY the game legally allows us to give some of the more interesting and flavorful magic items into the hands of NPCs, who usually have far too little gp budget to afford anything, especially since they need to use some of those items to bolster their stats up to a point where they actually work for the CR they're supposed to be at.

What do you, as the DM, do?

1) Any alignment works. And in fact, the 9 alignments suggest 9 different reasons and personalities for those deities.

2) The fact that it's got magic + over ten thousand years of various layers of civilizations.

3) That starts feeling too silly for me for the most part. I prefer things like the Pathfinder Society, where you don't have to sign up just to adventure, but that if you do sign up you get a bonus. The carrot lure instead of the stick, in other words. Reward the PCs for joining, don't punish them for not wanting to join.

4) As a GM, I let them play things out, and if it takes too long for them to come to terms, I have the NPC or other events in world force their hand by resolving the situation in a way that's detrimental to the PCs, as a way to show them that their lack of working as a team hurt them in the end.
