In another thread for NW Indiana there has been some interest in forming a South Bend-area group. It was noted there is at least one Pathfinder group, but so far no society. I gather from that thread there are at least four players interested, and I've witnessed first hand the If You Build It™ law in action, so it's safe to say we have players.
Now we need a time and location. The local game stores can't do much to help us: Griffon Books closes at 6pm and Fantasy Games doesn't have room. (I'm going to call both those places to confirm the above.) Anyone have any suggestions? A public forum is preferable for several reasons, not the least of which is promoting growth of the community. Still, anyone willing to host should be lauded and praised for their generosity, should it come to that.
Personally I'd like to see a Monday night game, but I reckon most want a weekend game, likely Saturday. I could only commit to once a month on the Weekends, but that shouldn't stop us. What day/time would you like to play?
Also, as you're chiming in, note whether you'd like to GM or not. I'll be glad to GM as long as we've only got one table, but I'll need backup sooner or later. (I'm also more than willing to play, I really don't have a preference.)

I guess it would depend on whether we're talking about doing a weekly game or not. I do a D&D game every other Sunday night at Fantasy Games, so Sunday would be bad for me. Wednesday night is also bad, but I can probably work with any other evenings. I'd love to eventually GM but I'm really very new to Pathfinder so I'd like a while to get to know the system better. I can't think of anyplace off the top of my head to meet and play though unless The Griffon or Fantasy Games has a spot open.

I am interested as well, but 9/4 conflicts with another one of my campaigns.

Fellow Indianians. I'm starting to organize Society events for this years PentaCon 2010 in Ft. Wayne Indiana this November 5th - 7th. You can get to the post here.
I am hoping to have a large number of tables for Pathfinder Society.

I live in Seattle, but born and raised in Evansville. Good to see Pathfinder being played in my homeland!
OOps. You are totally correct. I should have used Hoosiers. I guess I haven't lived here long enough for it to come naturally.

So there was supposed to be a game tomorrow, Saturday the 18th, but the game store's website listed the game as starting at 5:30pm (rather than starting at 12pm and ending at 5:30pm).
I've already heard from one player that he won't be making it (because he thought the time had changed, and now he has other plans). Indication was that we would already be short of players (who couldn't make it, regardless of time slot).
Essentially that means I know of one player who hasn't said whether or not he can make it. So, because of the confusion and hopefully to save everyone some headache, I'm canceling the game tomorrow.
This also means the schedule will likely change away from 1st & 3rd Saturdays, but I don't have all those ducks in a row yet.
Of course, if by some miracle three people contact me before 11am tomorrow saying they'll be there to play, I'll run the game as normal.

It's not, unfortunately.
I've had to re-evaluate my availability sooner than expected. I had hoped to establish a self-sustaining group before needing to return to busy weekend schedule, but life had other plans.
Currently all I can commit to is every 3rd Saturday of the month; the next session will be October 16th.

The PFS game at noon (EST) at Fantasy Games in South Bend on 16 October will be #19 Skeleton Moon.
The scenario is rather quick, so if you haven't yet made a character (or want help finalizing one), we'll have time to do that before the game.
Tom, have you been getting good turnout at these events? I'll keep checking in on this thread to see if my Saturday schedules allow me to sneak in and take part in a scenario. I'm itching to play PFS again.

Unfortunately I've only been able to run one event thus far! Life has a way of thwarting plans.
The 16th will be only the second session I've run at Fantasy Games. Our first session had three new players (plus Twilight Knight, who showed up for moral support).
Even if your Saturday is booked, you should make the drive out to Portage on the 17th for the special Shadow Lodge event!

As before, I might be able to make an appearance if you need someone to fill out a table or provide "moral support" (although I prefer to think of it as morale support). I know the drive now so I promise not to be late ;-)

I just want to apologize, I've been meaning to make it to the PFS games but my schedule has been crazy. I haven't given up though, and I'm still looking for a group playing a Pathfinder campaign or perhaps an AP. Nebelwerfer41 are you looking for any new players, or know of anyone in South Bend that is? I'm really wanting to hook up with a local group.
