Wasn't sure where to post this - So if this is the wrong forum, please move.
I am looking forward to participating in PFS scenarios at Gencon/Indianpolis this year.
Ok, for Gencon, it looks like I'm staying at the Marriot this year. Having never stayed there before, I had a few questions on its accomadations:
Internet access; The hotel lists both wireless and wired in rooms and the lobby. For rooms they charge $13/day. Is the lobby access free or $$.
Is the Marriot the hotel that has the McD's in the lobby or is that next store? What restaurants are in the hotel?
I know the mall next door has a food court that has all levels of $$ and food.
Thanks
Robyn

There isn't a McDonalds in the Marriott, I'm guessing your thinking of the Hyatt. The link I posted shows you what they have, just click the link.

Which Marriot? There are 2 right next to each other almost. there is the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, and the one Herald linked to, neither have McDonalds, one is connected to the convention center, one is not.
I was able to get Rom internet for free, Be nice and tip the person, always works, I have never paid for Room internet.

RobynAnd we are talking about the one accessible via the hamster tubes, not

Actually the link just takes me to the generic Marriot site.
Which generated the question to begin with!!
Internet access in the lobby is it free or do you get charged for it! (the web site does not specify). This is why I asked here from those who were more experienced with the hotel.
Thanks on the question about the McD,
And good job on the free internet for your room, that is surprising since that is generally an automated thing.

They can take it off the bill, or never add it. They just hand you the card with the password.
I think also, besides my sparkling personality ;), I think being in the Military helps to.
Edit: The link works for me, takes me to the hotel that is linked to the Convention Center. I stayed there last year, good place.

RobynJust checked it, it's not generic. This is the one connected to the convention center.

So other than Herald's flippant "Read the web site" No one has any actual feedback on my question.
Wow!
And here I was told that this was a friendly community.
My bad!
:(
I wasn't trolling. I had read the Marriot web site (hence the question, due to its ambiguity).
I will assume that everyone was just busy, or didn't really know the answer to the question. (and I will just ignore Herald).

I have no first hand experience with this hotel, however I've stayed at many that offer 'pay in your room, free wireless in the lobby'. Seems like a reasonable assumption.
Even better, I just called. This is a true statement of fact confirmed by the front desk :P

I hardly think Herald's comment was flippant, he just takes the "teach a man to fish" method of providing information.
I think it has more to do with posting in the area of the forums frequented only by Society Players, not all the people heading to Gen Con. You might just want to try elsewhere, or try the Gen Con Forums themselves.

All I did was state that it's not a generic link to Mariott International. How is that a slight? How is this ambiguous?
I thought I was being friendly and helpful. Guess I was wrong.
