Good luck dude. I can semi-commiserate.

I had to change my diet because of food allergies, not exactly 'going on a diet'... but since then I've discovered that I went through all the same stuff my friends who dieted went through.

My motivator was a really gooder though.... Nothing like turning red and getting itchy all over to dissuade someone from eating certain foods.

From my experience it was roughly two weeks before I got accustomed to eating less (cuz I couldn't find food I wasn't allergic to for the first few months--I literally cut out all grains and cereals), and later the routine made it all easier. Now I am permanently on a strict diet.

Good luck.

I need to start one myself. That and exercise. :S

Yeah ... pretty much all the regulars from my roleplaying group have begun getting together for exercise sessions – running, soccer etc. I haven’t managed to make it along as yet. I probably should. As I get further into my thirties I don’t know how much longer my fast metabolism and naturally slim build will take me before I actually need to make an effort to keep (relatively) in shape.

Aging, all good fun.

The "stud" in his name isn't because he's manly, but because he has a wooden 2x4 for a spine.

CH while I can't really empathize with the situation where I've never been in something similar. I do wish you the best and hope things work out for the better.

Ok so breakfast consisted of no fat vanilla yogurt mixed with 7 grain granola, 2 bananas and a glass of raspberry kiwi juice. Lunch is going to be a reduced sodium potato leek soup. This better make me healthier :(

For you bastiches out the that always complain that no one recognizes that Clark Kent is Superman because of a pair of glass, I point you to Big Bang Theory.

For eight episodes now, Sheldon's Friend-that-is-a-girl-but-not-a-girlfriend, Amy Farrah Fowler is played by Mayim Bialik. Or, as you might remember her, Blossum of the same sitcom.

It took a picture without her glasses in an article about the show for me to realize just why I've been sitting there thinking "she looks familiar..."

Happy Veteran's Day to all the FAWTLs in service now or past. We do appreciate you. <3

That's clever. Birdmen would get feather plugs to help conceal their male pattern moulting, wouldn't they?

Two and a half hours. I mean, I know the work needs to get done. I know that the kidlet had a bad day today. But rlly? All of it had to come home tonight? We couldn't maybe try spacing some of this crap out? And why is it that the kidlet always comes home with a mountain of homework when I'm on my own with him? It's fifteen minutes to his bedtime and we haven't even had supper yet because I can't supervise his homework and cook at the same time. (He has issues with handwriting, so I often have to transcribe his answers for him.)

It's good to know somethings never change. That's about how long I spent on homework when I was his age...I still don't know why they take the subway sandwich approach to homework.

It was an attempt to cheer up the thread we seem down of late. And I figured you could take it. Also telling everyone to insult me didn't seem like it would work. :D

Is he on facebook? If so, I'm sure the site has infected him by now, and it wont' be long until he's an extra on AMC's The Walking Dead. I say we shotgun him now so that he doesn't munch on our brains.

Okay, so it's not an insult so much as it's a step I'm willing to take to save humanity, but its all I've got.

There are all kinds of "interesting" things going on with pregnant women so I would not be surprised if there was a weird space-time warp in effect. :)

I did a simple search for her on google and the one of her and the Dalek popped up right away. I even have safe search on, and it was the top of the list, I wasn't even looking for pics yet since I am at work. She is def NSFW.
