Scarab Sages 4/5 5/55/55/5 *** Venture-Captain, Australia—NSW—Greater West

To all those who have played/run this module, a question.

We have a home game and mix up the GMs, the rogue's player is next to GM and picked the Third Riddle. In reading the intro, he stopped as he thought that this module may really need a rogue to play it. What do you all say?? Is it a scenerio that we need a rogue in??

I am a player in this, so no spoilers please

VERY helpful, but not necessary as long as you have a cleric in the party.

Thanks for the answer. It may be worth changing to something else methinks, as there is no guarantee that the cleric's player will be there.

I agree that a rogue is not neccessary. It depends on the party levels but playing this one without a cleric is foolhardy.

Dark Archive 1/5

We played it with a rogue, but without cleric and arcane caster. We came very close to a TPK.

I ran it last weekend. They had a cleric and I still had to fudge some damage rolls in their favor to prevent a tpk. A couple of the fights can be really rough.

Scarab Sages 3/5

I say it needs a rogue and a cleric, especially at the higher levels. Just IMHO.
