Im interested in Harsk, Seltyiel and Kyra, Sel being my first choice and Harsk my second, Kyra third

Confirm me for Saturday night, please.

Being in the last slot, I assume we'll end up with whomever is still alive? ;-)

Finally just downloaded to my dektop, all good.

Ill play whomever is alive and needed for the Friday night/Saturday afernoon run.

daemonslye-

as we get closer to game day(s), can you note on the timesheet which players will be playing which PCs when? Just so we can all have a heads up on what the party comp. might look like? I know everyone is free to pick PCs up until we play, but a tentative plan would be cool.

There is an error in Harsk's equipment weight:

50 crossbow bolts weighs 5 lbs (1 lb/10), not 0.1 lbs; this puts Harsk's total encumbrance at 66 lbs, or into Medium territory. He's a dwarf so this doesn't hurt his speed, but it does cap his Max Dex bonus at +3 instead of +5 (LAME). So, how about the following modifications for Harsk:

Equipment:
To get under his weight limit, Harsk needs some better ways to carry his ammunition supply; being a crossbow killer, he's going to want a lot of it. The best way is to have an efficient quiver to carry around his variety of in-combat ammo, plus a handy haversack for storing large quantities of ammo to refill the quiver in between fights.

Remove: 50 +3 bolts and 50 normal bolts(value 18,310)

Add:
+3 buckler (9,165)
eyes of the eagle (2500)
handy haversack (2000)
efficient quiver (1800)
300 cold iron bolts (60)
100 alchemical silver bolts (210)
10 adamantine bolts (601)
10 tanglefoot bags (500)
8 tangle bolts (1808) (APG p. 291)
2 oil of magic weapon (100)
4 tanglefoot bags (200)

Total cost: 18,310

Weight: He stores all of his ammo in the quiver and haversack, along with his extra crossbow and his cash (and the oils and tanglefoot bags) for a net weight reduction of 11 lbs (to 45). He adds back the buckler (5 lbs), haversack (5 lbs), and quiver (2 lbs), bringing him up to 57, and still under weight for light encumbrance.

Net effect on stats:

+4 to regular/flat-footed AC (not touch)
+5 Perception

That probably goes beyond a minor modification, but it does fix Harsk's weight problem. Thoughts?

After that exciting adventure in encumbrance equilibration, I forgot my original reason for posting about Harsk!

Feats:
What about changing the following feats:

Shot on the Run > Deadly Aim
Toughness > Favored Defense* (evil outsiders)

(APG feat, p. 160, grants 1/2 your Fav Enemy bonus as a dodge bonus to AC and to your CMD, so +2 AC/CMD vs. evil outsiders - it's an ambiguous DM call as to whether this would apply (halved again) to allies when using the hunter's bond (companions, giving them +1 AC/CMD), so however you wanna go on that).

Hunter's Tricks
Quick Healing > Defensive Bow Stance
Aiding Attack > Chameleon Step

P.S. On Harsk's sheet, under his saving throws, you might want to make a note of his dwarven save bonuses (amped up by Steel Soul):

+3 vs. poison
+5 vs. spells and spell-like abilities

@Jason:
Good suggestions all. I tried to include most of them. Using Hero Labs for configuration - leads to some interesting formatting and choices. Once we are settled, I can crack it open an Acrobat Pro and edit it there - but this has its limits as some formatting changes bork the whole document. Re-download the pdf pls. (edit) Oh yes, I believe Crossbow Mastery makes the defensive stance unnecessary?

@Joshua:
I think you have a great shot at Seltyiel.

@Kyle:
Will do - and yeah. I will post updates each day though so you will see who has made it.

@Skeeter G:
Will do. I'll update the full schedule in the next day or so.

@dmchuck:
I left a note with Tom - He was "travelling/indisposed" this last weekend so I expect I'll hear from him in a day or two.

@Jason: One point of clarification, I believe Steel Soul just replaces the normal bonus. -> CLICK HERE

I am out for Saturday night. Confirming Ill not be there.

Done, done, and done.

Anyone else? Bigg D? Care to lend a clerical hand? Otherwise, I'm sure Merisel can take care of healing with her wand of cure light....

And Chuck, as for Tom's truename, I can only refer to him (All I can say is Sheri has bequeathed me the leash for a few days. Hah!). Perhaps, if you are in Seattle, come by to try your hand at the dice? Saturday at noon looks good....

~D

2 Questions Do I have lem as my character and why does he the following feats disruptive and spellbreaker feats? Aren't those fighter feats? Or is it because of his arcane duelist class of bard? Just curious, have not sat down and studied the APG as much as I should(bad player...bad player) let me know when ya get a chance, much appreciated.

They are bonus feats from the Arcane Duelist archetype.

It does; however, I didn't see that reflected on his character sheet. F'rex, it would apply to the Ref save vs. an ice devil's cone of cold SLA, but it wouldn't to the Ref save vs. a dragon's breath weapon (Su), so it can't just be auto-rolled into each save; it needs to be called out as a separate adder that applies only vs. poison (+3) and spells and SLAs (+5).

Maybe that was on his sheet and I missed it.

daemonslye-

Sorry for the confusion, but I will have to sit out the Saturday game completely. Im only confirmed for Friday night. thanks!

PREGEN ASSIGNMENTS

Thursday 3pm to 6pm

Wilburforce - Ezren
Tom Hall - Seelah
Jason Nelson - Harsk
Bigg D - Lem

Nice starting group! This should help those that come afterward. Post notes or tips after the session if you want (or even write them down) - The others may need them!

Looking forward to it. I'll update the entire schedule tonight with the new opens since we will miss Skeeter on Saturday. I'd love to confirm one more for Saturday during the day... Not sure how timing will work out but thinking the BBEG is around that time period.

~D

First of all thanks jason on the update, I have some pretty good experience with playing a bard of that level but not since 3.5 just needed an update. I am so looking forward too playing with you guys it should be fun if not too brutal(looking towards daemonslye) but either way it will be fun.I will see ya guys in 8 days.

Hmmm, if it's ok, Id like to continue wih Kyra until 9 pm in the Friday night game, then move to Valeros after Ms. Butterflychaser makes the return. Is that ok with everyone?

It's looking like that Saturday afternoon session may be a little sparse. There's also a chance I won't make that one, depending on whether or not I can carve out time to touch base with some of my Paizo developers during that time. Might want to mark me as a tentative for now.

Thanks Neil - I'll do that. I expect we will get some walk-in traffic during the games so I was going to hold the Sat afternoon slot open until Friday before giving up on it. Cheers,

Silver Crusade

I'd probably be interested in something to do on saturday midday, if you want another player. Sounds like fun. =)

As far as I know we are rolling with the pregens D has provided (which are on the previous page of posts, down towards the bottom).

I am also trying to wrangle in an additional Very Special Guest - he's checking his con schedule to see if he can make it fo sho; his preference is for Kyra or Valeros, but since he hasn't committed both are still available.

Silver Crusade

I'm sure I can play any of those and have a blast. ^_^ I'm not terribly picky.

Hey D,just curious why lem has no knowledge skills at all?Since he has no bardic knowledge. I understand if he is not that kind of bard, also I have alot of spells picked but left some slots open but I did lean towards invisibility and buffs so I can better make the combatants alot more effective, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Just let me know..see ya guys in 3 days.

@BD - Knowledge: no good reason really. Let me know if you want me to make some tradeoffs and ill add some "knowing stuff". Let me know preferences.

@SunshineG: We'd love to have you join Sat! Jason has it a-rights (faces and demons and punching I mean; not necessarily in that order).

@ButterflyC: Same - You and BD can join Sat at 1pm; It looks like we may have a quorum for the Saturday afternoon game.

@all: Any preferences on libations or snacks - let me know. We will make a trip to Sams/CostCo Wed (I'm buying - you can send an email to "myavatarname" at aol dot com if you want). Also, let me know any preferences for local food delivery around food-times - Otherwise we we will be at the whim of the Internet. The hotel has us down for an in room "conference" table and eight chairs (yay). I'll post the room number here on Wed. night.

I've prepared light-hearted demonic musical accompaniment and certain pre-made map areas. Large groups of dice will be programmed into digital rollers to (futilely, I know) increase efficiency and/or speed.

See you in a few.

~D

Hey D, I am totally cool with what I have I will roll with it I was just curious, the last time I played my high level bard he had an 8 intelligence so his knowledge skills weren't the best so no prob. And if you want suggestions about snacks I like salty or sweet or both not really picky, But I do like salsa verde doritos:). Thanks .

If you're choosing between Coke and Pepsi, choose Coke! :)

I'd recommend/request the Emerald Valley salsa, esp. the medium (which is probably on the spicier side of medium), which is sold packaged in about a 1.5 pint container with about a 12-oz package of bean dip (also pretty good) for about 5 bucks or so. Very good stuff (and I believe organic, if you care).

If you want something savory and very good, the Costco whole roasted chickens are terrific and a great deal (I believe 4.99 for a 3-lb bird). The meat is very tender and flavorful. However, it's a whole roasted chicken, which means flatware, plates, and at least one sharp knife to carve it up (though it's tender enough to cut with a plastic fork if you need to; I could also bring a knife from home). So, that one depends on whether that's a direction you want to go just in terms of the mess factor. Delicious, good deal, reheats great, but not as simple as some other options might be (they have any number of kinds of burritos, aussie pies, and that kind of frozen prefab microwaveable stuff).

If you're looking for healthier fare, you can get like a 3-lb plastic container of pineapple spears in the veggie cold case for a decent price. They also have other veggie items and fruit at good deals, and their bakery makes good croissants, but for heaven's sake please steer clear of their "giant muffins" - blech.

Lastly, if you're looking for something that will be reasonably priced and reasonably tasty at Costco, get an 18-pack bag of their sandwich rolls (which is less than 3 bucks) and a package of their beef kielbasa (Hebrew National brand I believe; it's in the case with hot dogs and such, probably around $8-9). Simple, easy to assemble and eat as people want em. It's just a thought.

One of my favorite things is fruit and veggies with bread and cheese and sometimes some sort of hard salami. It's a really tasty meal that can feed a couple of people easily and allows for noshing through the day. Sometimes we do that with the aforementioned chicken which is just as good cold. Very tasty and not terrible for you. Also, I have a leatherman in my purse 98% of the time which can be used to carve up a chicken pretty easily.

I would agree with the veggies and fruit but like I said I am not really picky. But if ya could if soft drinks are available I would like too recommend something without caffeine(allergic),Thanks.

Ditto that. Sprite, Sierra Mist, or 7-Up would be fine with me.

Gotcha. Very helpful, thanks. From what I remember, the space in the (tiny) fridge will be at a premium so ill try to use best judgement (re food that requires refrigeration).

Since I have a conflict and have to wuss out, the Saturday night game probably has room for one more player as Ezren.

Silver Crusade

My preferences are for:
Kyra
Merisiel
Valeros

in that order but I'm cool with whatever. If I am playing a caster though, I'd like to know ahead of time for spell list familiarization.

@SunshineG: I'm certain we can accommodate. There may also be other pre-gens available at that time.

That said, we should probably get someone familiar with higher level casters to play Ezren on Saturday day and night (does not need to be the same person).

I'll try to post his character sheet a little later

Thanks

So, how about a room number for the game!

Or a phone number to call when we get to the hotel.

Or even a full name - I don't think the hotel will just lead us up to "daemonslye"'s room.

We will post a sign - however, you can just come to room 249.

Email me if you need a cell number (avatar_name at aol dot com). Thanks

ARG!!!!!

Was just informed the company I do conversions for is now going to be selling product at the con, so I have to pull out of the Friday game.

DAMN!!!!!

sorry for the late notice (I just found out 5 minutes ago)but there is a new chair available for Friday night.....

Neil and Sunshine - Slight change - We are starting at 2pm today (Sat). Thanks!

~D

Thanks D we had a blast, you guys are really cool, thanks for all the hospitality we really appreciated it.

Khellendros460 and I are extremely glad we happened to stumble upon this game. We met some people we hope to see at future cons and hope to play in this next year. I will +1 what Bigg D said thanks for the hospiatlity and such.
