Order #1426835
Three items shown as shipping and 3 as pending..but I had it set to post with my AP volume so why isn't my AP volume shipping. Is this to do with the weight of the GMG?
Cos????????
I have something similar, 2 items seems to have shipped ( got the PDFs), the last three is pending. On my subscription page it is listed as one package, so a bit odd as well.

International shipments many times get split up into multiple shipments to save postage for y'all. Yes, it is CHEAPER to ship multiple packages. Yes, that makes no sense, but that is the way it is. In any case, our computer system automatically splits them into the best number of packages. As each package ships, you get your PDFs. With the many thousands of packages going out, it is not unthinkable that your shipments could be two to three days apart.

yes, thank you for saving me some money ón your end - bit actually I would really really like all my paizo stuff to ship in one package. The handling fee from the toll administration here on each package is much more than i imagine i save on shopping.

Didn't you mean to say it's NOT unthinkable?

Yes, she did! For clarity, she meant that it's very possible that an order can be split into multiple packages that ship on different days—especially while we're fulfilling everybody's subscriptions at once.
And she also didn't mean to suggest that splitting is *always* cheaper. Unless you've specified a specific premium shipping method, our system looks at several different ways of shipping the same items, and chooses the cheapest for you. One of the most common reasons for splitting shipments is that the most economical shipping method has a 4-pound limit internationally, so whenever we have a big hardcover like the GMG (which weighs in at about 2.6 pounds), a lot of shipments will be split.

By splitting your current superscriber shipment into two packages, we're able to charge you $27.32 for shipping to your country; if it all went in one package, we'd have to charge you $43.71. And as DM Wellard pointed out, for most people, two lower-value packages are less likely to incur customs attention than one high-value package. Thus, we default to splitting the shipment because it's going to save the most people the most money.
If you really think that the single package option is a better choice, you can contact customer service immediately after you get the "we're about to ship your subscription" e-mail, and tell them that you'd rather have the more expensive shipping method. (Note that in most cases you've only got a day or two to do this, though!)

Vic,
+1 to your system. It works alot better for me. I do freak though when the packages arrive at different times.
That just shows you how absolutely crazy the postal shipping system is. Especially when there is a really good chance that they went out in the same bin on the same day. And they could arrive at radically different times. Which is why we ask people to wait when they think a package is lost. :)

Perfect example of this is when I ordered a bunch of miniatures with my normal subscription packages. It was spread out over two boxes. The boxes left Paizo the same day but I got the first box on a Monday but didn't receive the second box until the following Tuesday, 8 days later. I was getting worried but Cosmo calmed me down until the second box arrived :-)
