RPG Superstar seminar

Neil Spicer invited me to the RPG Superstar panel, and I'll be attending.

One of the things I did for this year's competition was to keep a long list of mistakes people make that are 99% likely to get their wondrous item disqualified or passed over in the competition. While I'm going to write these up formally in time for the next competition, I'm going to preview the list at the PaizoCon seminar.

So if you'd like a head start on not washing out early, be sure to attend!

Very cool! I'm working on an outline of topics the panel will try to cover. Everything from how to increase your chances of getting into the competition, how to navigate it if you do, and how to transition any demonstrated success from round-to-round into actually freelancing in the RPG industry. And we'll certainly leave some time towards the end for general Q&A. If folks have ideas or specific things they'd like to see addressed by the panel, let us know here.

Neil and I have talked about some things that we each want to bring up from our experiences both in the contest and after, and Russ Taylor will be on our panel as well. We each have some things to bring out and may bat some things back and forth - especially with Sean on hand to talk about things we might bring up from the other side not only of being a contest judge but also a developer who works with us (and lots of other folks, of course) on freelance projects for Paizo, and what things change when you're not doing the contest but now writing stuff for real.

Should be enlightening!

I may have to sit in on this panel if my schedule permits. It is cool to see my little baby all grown up like this! :)
