Alchemists and Armour Spell Failure

Rules Questions

Hey folks,

I'm guessing that this isn't a problem as Alchemists don't 'cast spells' per se, but I thought I better double check. Are Alchemists subject to spell failure? Yes or No?

No they are not, no matter the armor used.

So then a Fighter/Alchemist could wear Medium Armour without penalty given that as a Fighter he is proficient in all levels of armour to begin with?

Correct. Armor doesn't affect alchemist abilities, so any class (or feat) that grants armor proficiency helps an alchemist nicely. My alchemist in Josh's game plans to take Medium Armor Proficiency as soon as he hits 3rd level....

Groovy. I really do like what the final playtesting has done with the Alchy. It turned him from being quasi not worth playing into one of the better buff classes out there.
