Happy Town

Dark Archive

Hello everybody out there in TV land. I just wanted to jump on here real quick-like and throw out a little love for Happy Town. I watched the premier episode on my tivo a couple of hours ago, and then I went back and watched it again.

This show is Awesome with a capital A.

If you like Lost or Twin Peaks or Alfred Hitchcock or slasher movies or dark, oppressive settings, you are certain to like this show.

With Lost about to end up, I think that Happy Town will have enough mystery and suspense to fill the gap.

I can't stress enough that you should all check it out, mostly because I am terrified--that, like so many other good shows, it is gonna get cancelled.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I watched it and enjoyed it. I will continue to tune in. I think the success of Happy Town lies in how it handles its mysteries. If they can do that well, keeping us intrigued without leading us around by the nose in circles, I think this can be a great show.

Hey guys, I was about to post something on Happy Town here and see that someone already beat me to it!

I really enjoyed the pilot too. It has a lot of promise, I hope they are able to sustain it. I think it may be able to help with my Lost withdraws after that show ends. I love the mysteries presented so far. And after being disappointed with Flash Forward and V, I hope the writing on continues to be top-notch.

Did anyone see tonight's episode? Holy crap! Awesome but subtle references to The Shining (Kubrick's version,) Jaws, Twin Peaks, Psycho, not to mention all the great films discussed in Sam Neill's shop!

I doubt that this will happen, but I have a dream of Kyle McLaughlin showing up as Special Agent Dale Cooper.

I already can't wait for next week!

Loved the pilot but I haven't watched last night's yet... guess I should go crank up the DVR.

There is nothing wrong with the writing so far. No cheesy dialogue and no head-scratching character actions. Here's to hoping they continue!

Great series, terrific references to magnificent works of the past, spot-on performances, and a mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat, suspecting every character you see.

Of course abc is gonna cancel it. Thats what they do.
