It's not that hard. A lot of them are only average for a party of that level. The Worm that Walks, and Narissa could be an issue, but I don't see any of the others as a potential TPK.

Yeah, but for MY player's it's going to be tough. In previous campaigns I've never put creatures as powerful as this at them and still I've killed most of them.

I had such big plans for how to continue the campaign after the end of the AP. Now, I'm not sure these plans will ever come to fruition. I might suggest the players have some back-up characters - flunkies, aides, students, disciples, lovers, whatever in case something AWFUL should happen...

For reading, they're awesome. For GMing, they can be a bit of a pain and it takes a lot of prep work to be able to use them to their fullest. I've DM'd Age of Worms to completion so between Lashonna, Dragotha, and Kyuss I've seen a few long, long, incredibly long stat blocks. Awesome AP and well worth running, just one with a few very large stat blocks.

It's one of the few places I'm willing to admit 4e has an edge over Pathfinder. High level encounters are easier and quicker to run in 4e.

Never underestimate one's players ... especially with the shiny new toys in the Advanced Players' Guide potentially avialable.

Heh. I've just warned them OOC about the dangers of not being prepared for the worst ;-)

If they keep getting beat up by level appropriate challenges(that is how I understood it) maybe they just need pointers in tactics or character building. That is why I would bring their tactics or lack of to light in the first few books.

Now if you have tried to help them, and they refuse to listen, then I can't really say too much else since I have had gamers like that.


I don't usually read through the AP part of PF that closely b/c I'm years away from running these as adventures, but after viewing some of the stunning art in this issue, I took a closer look.

A combination of great art, imaginative and varied opponents, and some truly deadly encounters, all in an interesting locale....great work! As for Nyrissa, w/out spoiling anything, I've got (3.5) 19th level characters that might only get off a single hit on her per round. I've never fought anyone w/ so high an AC. Awesome.

Yep. It won´t get better than that. This module is a masterpiece.

And it´s a sure, multiple TPK for my players. :)
