Fubar swings his flail in a mighty arc....
only to realize that ogre is already crumpling into the snow, so tries to use his momentum to bring the blow around to the other ogre...
and nearly hits himself in the back of the head. But doesn't.
KD follows the trajectory of the flail head around to the standing ogre (the first one by the way) and lets an arrow fly, which only seems to just graze the side of his neck, but hit something substantial you guess from the amount of blood pumping out of it.
The new ogre lies dead in the snow. The first ogre just stands, teetering and blinking, and bleeding.
Vardara loses her balance a bit and seems offended to find snow less than fully frozen as her huge hammer swings by the ogre.
Ahz remembers he needs to stick his tongue out to the left for proper aim, and manages to drop a firebolt into the ogres chest, where it sputters and burns for a moment. The ogres growls but still seems off balance and continues to blink his eyes.
Fubar swings his flail towards the ogres head...
almost falls, but manages to swing the spiked ball into the ogre's stomach. It connects, but the ogre stil lstands.
Caydee's anger apparently perfects her aim, for her next arrow flies unerringly, directly into its eye, and it falls directly on its back in the snow, dead.
Vardara slumps down on the ground. "You know what, I'm just too tired to do anything. You just sort out those beasts. I'm going back to sleep and I don't want anything to wake me up till morning."
I will be mostly off till next friday (the 31st) as I am travelling to see my family them my in-laws. I'll post when I can but do not hesitate to take over Vardaran to get the story going.
Randall, add Krill as a PC on Obisian Portal if you haven't yet. Everyone there should be another hello post anytime now, and I'll be getting things going this afternoon. Happy New Year!
So you have! I hadn't actually looked at it yet. If you feel like adding a background at some point, that would be handy too, but not vital to getting going so whenever is fine.
My OP account is smashthedean so you can add me on there and I'll toss up a profile. As for adding more background, I'll probably wait until I know more about the setting as this isn't in Golarian unless I'm missing something. Hopefully what I have in now should be enough to get things started. Let me know if there's anything else I need to do.
You each recently arrived in Camlin, and went to a tavern looking for work. You were both approached by a member of the local council, and offered a share of the resulting treasure to help re-acquire some items stolen by some murdering Tengu. Accepting the work, you were given directions to where it is thought the rest of the artifact, and perhaps the party you will be supplementing, lies in the frozen waste. It takes you five days in the wintery weather to reach about where the ice cavern should be, traveling during the scant 8 or 9 hours of daylight and some during the dark. It is jsut past dark, and you are still traveling, when you trip over something white in the snow. On further inspection there is also red around it. It appears to be a young yeti, bleeding profusely. There is a javelin sticking from it's side. Amazingly, it seems to still be alive...
Randall, post with your Krill persona if you would, so I can check your profile easily when I want to :)
*perks up and looks at immediate surroundings*
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Whatever threw this javelin should be near. But I should at least try to see what could I do to ease the creature's pain..
Heal:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
It was clear earlier, but the clouds gathered and now it is snowing and fully night, so it is hard o see very far at all. Krill, you try but are unable to stop the bleeding
"Holy smokes, a Yeti!" exclaims Robbo with surprise. "It looks pretty beat up, let me have a look at 'im." Robbo peers down and thinks back on what he knows about Yetis as he inspects the wound.
Clearly having no knowledge of Yeti phsiology, Robbo deduces that the Yeti's primary ailment probably has something to do with the javelin sticking out its side.
Unless Robbo's Knowledge check turns up something about Yetis being horribly evil and eating halflings all the time, he's going to place his hands on the creature and cast Cure Light Wounds.
*looks on as Robbo heals the creature*
"Ach! It's snowing, can't see much. Friend, I'll pull out the javelin and you'll stop the bleeding, deal? I don't want to delay, lest it'll start raining javelins instead."
"Sounds like as good a plan as any! I'm really hoping this little fellow appreciates our trouble," replies Robbo with a grin as his healing spell works its magic.
Krill pulls out the javelin, which is accompanied by a spray of blood. Unable to staunch the flow, Robbo resorts to magic, and the blood stops while the wound closes. The yeti opens its eyes, jumps to its feet, starts ranting in yeti, grabs the javelin and runs directly away from you, still babbling.
the rest of you:
Karrg comes running into camp, holding a bloody javelin and babbling at about a thousand words a minute, and pointing behind him.
