M orc Paladin / 1

"Tha tha way girl keep them arrows goin tha one did some damage."

Continues full defense...

Azh and Caydee severely injure another archer....

Krill is up!

This is Heaven's Agent, just letting everyone know my character is ready to go. I'll keep an eye on the thread; this character isn't likely to have visited Camlin, instead being a wanderer in the mountains. I gave him some ranks in linguistics and several knowledge skills, though. He can speak tengu, and would be interested in exploring the current site. Be it on his own, or at the ... request ... of others.

Let me know when/how I should arrive.

I am fine with you entering through the doors and into the current battle......

Though I expect current PC's to react to you as an unknown!

Krill is up! OR Ulkrith ;)

Ulkrith holds out a hand, indicating to Asins to keep its position as he peeks around the corner of the passageway. The half-orc double checks the readiness of his crossbow, then turns his attention to the fight unfolding through the doorway, unsure of what to do next.

He hadn't expected to encounter a yeti, especially not one as young as that he encountered alone and worried on the mountainside. In his experience, the creatures rarely ventured far from the glacial flows of the Frostlands. After it had realized Ulkrith could understand its language, it started babbling about its pack mate being swallowed up by the ground.

The distraught creature had led Ulkrith to the old Tengu caverns, begging the half-orc to search for its lost friend. The summoner had expected to find a lost yeti, not the fight before him now.

I'll Delay, and observe the fight before jumping in. I'll attempt to remain hidden, using the darkness of the tunnels to hide my presence.

Stealth 1d20 ⇒ 1

EDIT And it would seem that I slip on an icy patch of floor, ending up prone in the passage. I guess anyone with darkvision can see me without difficulty, and everyone likely heard me.

Male Human Cleric3

(Yelling, in Aklo)Karrg, is that you slipping and grunting back there?

Krill is up!

With no other options, Krill continues his shuriken rain.
shuriken flurry 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 101d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
damage 1d2 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

A shuriken finds it's mark cutting the opponents down to two!

One of them fires at you
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Narrowly missing Krill!

The other steps forward and begins to cut the right hand rope of the three rope bridge!

You are up!

Male Human Cleric3

To the one cutting the bridge:
Stop!
(Casting hold person, will save dc 17)

Will save
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

The hobgoblin stops cutting and freezes in place!

The rest of you are up!

I hope I'm not making a mistake. Ulkrith levels his crossbow at the archer across the chasm, speaking in a harsh, guttural tongue as he pulls the trigger.

Spoken in Aklo:
I am not a Karrg, whatever that is.
I'm going to take my delayed action now. I'll attempt to obtain a clear line of fire on the active archer, crawling 5 feet to do so if I must. Should I already have line of fire, I'll stand up from prone instead.

Move Action Crawl 5 feet OR stand up from prone
Standard Attack, Masterwork Light Crossbow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19; Damage 1d8 ⇒ 6

From out of nowhere a bolt streaks out and finds the hobgoblin across the way.....

Fubar continues full defense.....

Do we still have a pulse?

Caydee and Krill are up!

Luckily I've bought plenty of these..
attack flurry 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 61d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
damage 1d2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

One throwing star strikes true injuring the hobgoblin, the other flies out of sight.....

Caydee is up!

Caydee is up!

(following general group rules of play me if I'm AFK)...

Caydee takes a shot!
to hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Caydee is usually gone for the weekend, but in case shes extended busy I'll take a shot for her!

Thanks, Ahz. Had a troop-dissolving party (Girl Scouts) and then a few new books- including The Worldwound Gambit- and completely neglected my account. So, yup, that would be my attack :)

Caydee arrow strikes the hobgoblin, burrowing deeply into the hobgoblins side.....

The held hobgoblin heads for the door in the rear of the cave, looks like he is going for help or to lock the door......

Ends turn based combat!

Male Human Cleric3

Isn't it 2-3 rounds before the held one can move (duration 3 rounds, though gets a new save every round)? I was kind of hoping I could tie a rope around the monk's waist and he could try to make it across the rope bridge and knock out or tie up the hobgoblin?

Right now there are several hobgoblins down on the far side of the bridge, the top rope has been cut an unknown amount and if you are going further you need to get across the chasm....

M orc Paladin / 1

Fubar turns towards the new-comer....

"Who might yerself be?"

Ulkrith remains in the shadows, his muscles tense should he need to continue fighting. A friend, I hope. What do you know of yeti?

I need to apologize, folks. My summer plans have encountered a bit of an unforeseen bump; as of tomorrow afternoon, I'll be without a place to stay. I hope to have an alternative lined up some time next week, but until then I'll be without reliable internet. I wish the timing were better; I'll try to touch base every so often, and keep you in the loop.

(in Aklo)
Mostly that they are our friends. And you?

Ahz continues to consider ways across the chasm.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Friend Azh we ave plenty o climbin gear an rope tah make tha way safe. Do we wish tah pursue tha inhabitants intah tha fortress?"

Sorry to hear about those circumstances, a grunt or moan every once in a while will be appreciated, I have had to post via phone before and it is not fun!

"It seems to be our best lead." All in all, Caydee hasn't been eager to return to Camlin.

M orc Paladin / 1

"I do needs some javelins o somethin fer fightin things fer away..."

Male Human Cleric3

Only for these fissures, Fubar ol' buddy. Methinks deeper inside you'll be fine with your assortment of brain-bashers.

The door across the way shuts and is barred with a loud noise!

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz gives a sideways glance at KD and whispers Boyfriend issues?

and begins work on strengthening the bridge for their crossing.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Caydee o Krill one o yous wants tah have a rope an attempt tha bridge. I sees myself bein on tha holden end o tha rope, rather than tha crossin end."

Removes a length of rope from his pack!

Who is going to attempt the crossing?

I'll do it..let me limber up a bit..
acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Fubar ties Krill off to the end of the rope...

Krill make an acrobatics check DC 20 and please describe your action.......

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz offers the use of his masterwork silk rope if it will make the job any easier for either party...

Caydee ignores Ahz's comment and volunteers to go next across the rope. She'll help hold the rope of Fubar needs help.

acrobatics..1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Krill steps on the rope bridge, safety rope securely round his waist. Testing each step before fully putting his weight on it, he slowly crosses through.

Don't want to be a sitting duck caught out in the middle like this..

As Krill gets to the center of the way the rope beneath his right hands snapps leaving just the rope underfoot and the rope on the left to supports his weight, the sudden shift makes everything move suddenly........

Krill please make a reflex save!

Caydee compulsively takes a step forward, praying that the gods steady Krill.

M orc Paladin / 1

Strength check
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

"Hold on friend Krill!"

Drops the rope.....AZH I hope you have this!

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz scrunches up his face and holds tight....
Str check: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Well...(speaking in single words while clenching his teeth)...not....as.....strong....as....KD's...boyfriend....but....I...manag e...

Ahz glances at Fubar through eyes slitted from effort...ok...fine...sorry....about...the...snow....balls....couldya....ple ase...pickup...thdamn.....rope

M orc Paladin / 1

Grabs the rope tightly....

"Sorry I ave tha snow blindness an can not see."

@Caydee
"I was unaware o yer feelins!"

I don't have much time, but I wanted to post an update; I've a place to stay, but my internet access is limited. I'm working to getting full internet available again soon.

Caydee considers telling Fubar that he may have misinterpreted Ahz's jesting and her concern for a fellow traveler, but decides that now is really not the time. She helps the cleric with the rope, if she can.

Krill twists and turns his body, desperately trying to keep his footing.
Reflex 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Although the rope unexpectedly snaps, Krill is able to keep his footing and reach the other side. Fubar moves forward and tries to tie this end of the rope off to replace the fallen hand-side.

Krill sets himself up defensively on the far side.

"I'll go next." Caydee starts crossing the 'bridge', very carefully.

The bridge seems fine as everyone crosses and you leave the rope now tied off on both ends for a crossing later. Currently you find a few dead hobgoblins in this area....

3 sets of scalemail, 3 shortbows, 3 longswords, 34 arrows, a knife, and 40 gold!

You are also facing a barred stone door!

Male Human Cleric3

Well, unless you want to wait until tomorrow - who's feeling strong?
