I am still far away from getting to SoS, but since preparation is half the battle, asking now is the best method.
I need spooky music for Skeletons of Scarwall, the more the better. Preferred would be the traditional horror film organ music well known ( and parodied ) in film and games. Any help in getting that music would be highly appreciated.
An example of what I am looking for
Something like this, with the organ music interspersed ( at 1,25 ) would be fine, too

This might fit the bill, from the recent anime series Guin Saga's OST.
This might also be another fit for you, from the Fatal Fury series

Thanks, those are excellent.
Anyone got more?

While not organ music, Lustmord is good for ambient creepiness. To be honest I think the organ music is a bit over the top (unless that's the intent)
Check out Katchuturian's Masquerade Suite (on itunes). Great for the Danse Macabre.
Thanks, I'll check those out.
A slight irony/cheesiness overdose with the organ music is the intended effect. Sometimes being stereotypical can be fun. :p
I'll admit, though, that playing it constantly will probably get on my players nerves quite quickly, so creepy music without organs is quite good, too. :)

Oh dude, did you post in the right place for THIS! Okay, to start, anything by Michiru Yamane for the Castlevania series. Is the foreword's title starting to make more sense?
More to follow.

A url link to the song on youtube for those that are curious.

The Dark Crystal soundtrack (music by Trevor Jones) has a pretty intense organ piece, but it's brief. It's from a deleted scene, found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCLJWYc_Zwk
Of course, the version in the soundtrack is better quality. Good luck finding it.

Eternal Darkness had some great stuff.
A lot of Jesper Kyd's stuff is very cool, the new Assassin's Creed II soundtrack especially.
Rachmaninoff's Prelude In C Sharp Minor, Op.3, No.2
You know what, screw it. Check out the blog in the next day or so. We put a big old list of music recommended for RPGs in the GameMastery Guide, I throw that up here shortly.

Oh I agree it wouldn't be of any use to you know. I just listed it cause I really like the song and it might be something you can find a use for down the road. I wasn't sure if the waltz's I listed before fit what you wanted either. :)
Those can be used, although they'd probably fit better into a vampire filled castle. ;)

Yeah i would check out a lot of movie sound tracks. Anything dark could work. But especially things dark fantasy stuff.
Because I am not sure which of those soundtracks would be good, is why I created this thread. :p

You can search youtube for them. You can normally find many that way.
Also on the blog today is the gamemastery music list. It is a pretty good list.
I checked that one out. Good suggestions and I'll follow up on them. :)
