As the “Cities & Kingdoms” Rules for the Adventure Path could require quite a bit of bookkeeping as the adventure path advances and knowing my players, I have created a Kingdom Sheet in excel, including 25 “City Sheets” with some summary sheets as well. This sheet might still need some improving but calculates all relevant numbers based on the decisions players make, events, buildings etc.
However, I am not sure about an appropriate location to post this sample to, so if people have advice on where I could put this up, I would be more than willing to share and update the file.
To download/view the file you have to scroll all the way to the bottom, and just above the "Share" button you will see two image buttons, the one on the right says "DOWNLOAD NOW with FileFactory Basic."
Click on that and wait the 30 seconds or so, then when it reloads and tells you it is ready, scroll all the way to the bottom again and this time the link text on the left reads "Download with FileFactory Basic."
Click on that to download/open the file.
All other links/images with the word Download in them are ads/links to other websites.
Thanks for that explanation..... indeed it isn't optimal, but it was the only quick fileshare I found. If people have other ideas.... let me know and I will try to accomodate a more convenient way of downloading.
One quick question though: When I start to build a city, it doesn't show up in the consumption line. Also, if I build a city which has multiple districts, how do I specify that?
I also noticed that the city base value starts at 0 rather than 200 as it should.

Rapidshare or Megaupload
"Miscellaneous" and "Vacancies" are misspelled on the sheet.
The separator line between Loyalty and Stability has + and - signs in it. I found that when I was altering the cell sizes so it would fit on my netbook screen without scrolling
Excellent resource! I'll be using this a lot, methinks. :D
I slapped this up on my Google Docs account, and set it to allow anyone to download it. Hope you don't mind. File is available here; if you want me to pull it, just lemme know and I'll yank it down ASAP.
Corrections:
- Special Resources added to the Kingdom Sheet
- Consumption calculation for cities corrected
- Starting City Base Value included in Base Value calculation. Max Base Value set at 16000
- Corrected Miscellaneous minor spelling and formatting errors
Upgrades
- "Pop-Up" Information implemented throughout the document
- Multiple District City function incorporated
- Vacancy calculation updated to base vacancies on empty "Name" fields
- Data validation included in the City Sheet
Has anyone given the most recent version of the sheet a try? If people have comments for improvement, let me know and I will try to get it implemented.

I did not see your update until now, good job.
edit: In the individual city tabs could you add spaces for each city's magic items. I know it's simple and most of us could do it on our own, but I am a lazy DM.

I know that many other things effect unrest, but it would be nice for the unrest from the buildings to be totaled somewhere, it seems to be the only stat the buildings give that isn't in the city summary pages or at all automated on the overview, just a thought, so that when you get to 2-3 distracts, you don't need to go through everything to see what unrest you have from the buildings, and what is from other things

The Unrest +/- from buildings is a one time effect that happens when the building is constructed.
Correct.... which is why it isn't included. I expect to provide version 1.3 of my sheet. (With minor errata and the items fields included) later today.
One thing.
Vacant penalties to economy, loyalty, stability are applied if the leadership names are empty, but the unrest increase applies if they say 'vacant'.

Another error I think I found.
If you put in 8 roads the economy bonus will transfer to the 'Overall' sheet, but the stability bonus will not. I guess this is because cell N12 on the 'Overall' sheet says "=Kingdom!T4" and not "=Kingdom!D8".
Someone asked for testing on this for different versions of excel.
In excel 2003, it does not support more than 7 layers of nesting for formulas. The error displayed, in those cases, is #VALUE! and appears to show up in the City Summary Tab, in the bottom field in the Major Buildings area for each summarized city.
Otherwise, it appears to work great. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!
The first reference to D20/B20 seems to be superfluous and I think it should be deleted so that there aren't 2 Brewery references and so Exotic Craftsman has its proper place in the list.
It's very nice and I plan on using it, but when I converted it to Google documents, I noticed that in the city sections on row 15 (which normally doesn't appear) Arena is written. On Google documents this makes it appear like there is a double entry when in reality line 15 does nothing. So, if you have the time, that could be removed, just to ease the formatting from excel to Google. Also, if anyone else can answer this, when I put it up on Google, it changes the color of the words to black in the cells with a black background, again easily fixed by removing the black background, but I was wondering if this could somehow be fixed to convert properly.
I believe I'll have some other suggestions for functions, once we start using it in my game, which should be this weekend. Thanks for all your work.
It is a known bug (wrong references), which I have fixed in my draft document..... however I am a bit busy with other stuff at the moment so the next update (including armies) will take a bit longer than anticipated.....

My bad - mea culpa! - the error does not appear in the 1.5 version of the document. (at least for me) I plead blindness at not reading the version number earlier!

I just started using this and its great! Thank you so much for putting this together and maintaining it for the community. I can't wait to see the army rules integrated as well.
One quick question. Perhaps I missed the pertinent errata, but if taxes are set to none, shouldn't the sheet generate a +1 loyalty bonus per the chart in AP #32?

I noticed this and fixed it my self. All you have to do is unprotect the kingdom page, you can do this from Home - Cells - Format, it's near the bottom on the drop down menu.
Then show formulas, it's at the top of the formula auditing bar in formulas.
after that click on the loyalty column of taxes and look for this "(IF(N39="None",0)" in the function bat at the top, change the 0 to a 1. hide formula's and re-protect the page and BAM your done.
Hello All, I am actively working on version 2.0 of the worksheet and am likely to provide the updated version later today or later this week. If there are any major issues outstanding, please let me know and I will try to address them.
