Ian Ford 65 wrote: Anyone know where I can simply download a copy of the buildings to print out several sheets, cut and paste them? No easy access to color scanner or photocopier here... thanks. The sensible answer is to purchase the PDF from Paizo and you can print them from that. I don't see why Paizo can't simply provide a PDF of the buildings for people to use, though...
Some notes/comments after downloading and checking out Zeotrope's KM spreadsheet: - "Arena" listed twice in the "Building Type" column of the "Drop Down" sheet - Buildings in spreadsheet but not in the Book of the River Nations product:
- Buildings in Book of the River Nations but not in spreadsheet:
- The cell colors (white:change, gray:calculated, drop down:various) are hard to see and many cells are white that aren't suppose to be edited/changed. Consider changing it so that cells that require user input (whether they are typed-in or from a drop-down menu) are in a unique color (pink or light red?) that's not used for ANY other cell. - Typo on the "Instructions" page: "Overal" is missing an 'l' Otherwise, awesome tool!!! :)

So I started using Runeblade's open office sheet for the Kingmaker game I'm in and was adding buildings to it for the Book of the River Nations. The problem I'm having is the pop-up boxes with descriptions. I've been unable to figure out how to modify those at all. Any suggestions?
In the open office version of the Kingmaker sheet, how does the Army summary sheet work? Is there a workspace to use to enter values in there or is it just in the summary sheet?
Possible bug, I'm using the open office sheet. Every time I go to the city map the page goes a sort of olive drab color and locks the program. Other than that this sheet is wonderful. Thanks for making it :)

bumping this back up as there seems to be some GM's using unfinished obsolete kingdom builder programs. Also there might be some GM's who haven't ran/started kingmaker yet and don't know this program exists. I can't believe I've been running my kingmaker campaign THIS long every other weekend for 10 hour sessions and only half way through the AP! My players are only halfway through The Varnhold Vanishing. I've ran the Slow progression though and added in numerous side quests. Currently my players are heading up into the mountains next to lake Silverstep with Aria Varn (Maegar Varns daughter who is a summoner, i added in), where the Unerring compass is leading them to the lost flying Shory city of Ulduvai. There hoping to recover some lost ancient relics from the age of destiny that hopefully might help then stand up to the BBEG and his forces. Nothing like running the Crucible of Chaos as a side quest :D I think my Pc's kingdom is around 4-5 years old now. they've slowed on there building but the kingdom is fair sized with 5 towns and the ruler being a duke.
Sorry guys i haven't been to the kingmaker boards in a while as my game has been running strong. Hopefully the few that had issues resolved it. it's been a long time since i've delved into the coding as our program has had O issues. @ CaspianM, actually i haven't messed with the army building part since i completed the program so many months ago. I haven't gotten to the army building part in my game yet and probably won't until around fall at this rate lol. I Know i tested it, but without actually running the armies i'm not sure if this part of the program is flawless. I'm actually surprised there has been so few issues with the doc in so long a time. Now that we have messaging if something does come up message me if i don't catch it on the boards. I remember there was a couple of things i didn't like about armies but it wasn't the program so much as how the rules were written. I don't think i liked the idea of mass magic army gear and was going to change my version into Feats or training results such as weapon focus and armor training.
CaspianM wrote: In the open office version of the Kingmaker sheet, how does the Army summary sheet work? The actual army sheets you use to build your armies are hidden, as there not need until late in kingmaker. Most must have figured this out as no one ever said anything. So if you run kingmaker in the future keep that in mind. I should probably edit the info/help to note that...

Is 3.2 the latest version of the kingdom maker spreadsheet? I have a mac and am not sure how to open the zipped office document - any advice?
Just found your sheet, and am liking it so far, very easy to use. I have however downloaded and have implemented the resource from Jon Brazer "Book of the River Nations: Complete Player's Reference for Kingdom Building", which has a few new options for buildings and "open spaces". While I have played with Excel a little, I am not familiar with how to add the new buildings and stats to your sheet. So if you (or someone else for that matter who is following this) could help me out I would appreciate it. Or if you prefer, I could forward you a copy of the pertinent information and you could update your sheet with it (actually if someone else wanted to do that I could forward them the information as well). Either way, love the sheet and many thanks for putting it together for us.
Did figure out to edit the information to add information for new structures. Also edited the original file to scale it down so it could be used on a tablet if anyone is interested.
I am currently using the 3.2 version of the sheet. I have found a possible issue. When I add 1 to the Improved Farm section in the Kingdom tab, it changes the Economy and Stability normally, but it does not do anything to reflect the -1 consumption rate. Liking the sheet so far. Ashura
Is it just me or are the Optional building nowhere to be found on the city pages? I would love to use this sheet, but I need the optional buildings and I am not quite sure how to add them myself.
So, my party just got to the part where we are raising an army. We have an army of Kobolds, but when I try to set the CR of the individual creatures in the army, I can't go below 1. Since a 1st level Kobold warrior is a CR 1/4 creature, I don't know how to set things so that the CR of the army will come out right. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks!
Hello all! first, thanks a lot to all of you that are making a fantastic job with these tools. @Zoetrope, I´m using your xls (3.2) and I found a little difference with the Jon Brazer´s guide. We have a Gold mine, and based on the book: Mine (6 BP): A series of tunnels following the load vane (salt, gems, metal, mineral), It may also contain a miners camp, dump sites for the excess rock and a small refinery to make the ore or metal easier to transport. This development can only be built in hill and mountain hexes. Economy +1, Stability +1.
we need to add +2/+2 but you are adding +2/+1, is it a bug? @RunebladeX, also an excellent job, unfortunately, I can´t convert to excel... :-( Have a nice Play! ;-)
Just started playing around with this, and so fare, its been an awesome help in organizing things and keep them flowing :D But it doesn't seem like the consumption is working.. The rules stats that the consumption is equal to the kingdoms size + number of city districts. But the consumption box for cities never seem to go up, no matter how many cities I add..
I know this thread is a bit dated, but I would appreciate some help with RunebladeX's Kingdombuilder Document- Openoffice Version. I'm new to Open Office, and unfamiliar with some of the functions. I would do an internet search to learn more, but I don't know the name of the function with which I am struggling. Specifically, I need to know how to change the 'tooltip/metatag' things on the Kingdom tab. These show up when a person clicks on the cell for "River" or "Mine" or "Fort". The pop-up thing provides background data on each of the items for a user to read. Please, what is the function that the pop-up content is created in? And where can I 'view' those entries to change them? My thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply.
Changing the tooltips info should be as easy as clicking on the cell and choosing 'edit tooltip' but I suspect the numbers the spreadsheet is using are actually taken from hidden cells elsewhere, so changing the tooltip won't necessarily change the math. You need to 'un-hide' various columns & sheets and look for the info. Looking closely at the row & column labels should indicate where some of the info has been hidden.

I believe you could not create an army with a CR of 1. Look it up under the notes in the adventure path.
Apparently Paizo has revised city building rules with the release of Ultimate Campaign. Is there anyone out there with the skill to make an updated Excel sheet using the new rules?

We may find out after 29th May - when it's released. Hopefully your question is a pre-emptive strike, as I'd hate to think ofyou sitting there holding your breath, & awaiting a positive answer just now... ;)
Right, I'm just trying to raise interest. It's been over a year since Runeblade posted in this thread, so hopefully if he's not able there are others.
My group just got to establishing their kingdom. I had downloaded v2 and v1.5 of these spreadsheets, so I was about to ask questions about those. Now I see there is a v3.2, so I will ask about that one, too. v2, the Phases tab: This looks like it could be useful , but am I supposed to enter data into the blocks marked "Enter d20" and so on? If it says "Enter 4", I just type in 4? That seems kind of odd, as if I do that, it immediately leads to a Circular Error. v3.2: Overall tab: how does it tell when I move from one month to another? Where do I enter the fail/succeed for the various rolls? We've claimed 1 hex, it doesn't seem to be tracking the treasury anywhere?
