Culling witch spells from 4 Winds Gaming

4 winds game created its own witch class, but this posting is focused on taking existing spells from 4 winds products for use with the APG witch class. Note - I'm not sure which witch I prefer, would love to see feats that would allow the merging of traits of the two classes (such as a feat to add a hex to 4WG witch, or circle magic to the APG witch) - but that is different issue. Since 4WG spells are already part of their witch, I'd like to see folks thoughts as to which spells apply to the APG version.

note: I would have included spirit snake spells but the CMB/CMD data is missing

Now - does this seem reasonable? Would you drop or add spells to the above list? Thoughts?

Well I'll be honest..I love the 4W witch as she is..I doubt I'll ever use the APG version given her very heavy limitations vis-a-vis her familiar.

Give me Brooms, Circle Magic, Book of Shadows and a familiar who doesnt nerf me totally if it dies any day

It's my opinion that our Witch presented in PoP takes longer than a lot of classes to learn and get a grip on, but I think the depth of possibility with the class gives it a lot of potential for some players. And yes, you have to love the broom. It was hard to avoid the temptation to add a Broom of Smiting to the inventory in Albion Armitage's Astounding Arsenal.

Well, while I have your attention, do the suggested spells seem appropriate?

Also - any errata to your spells? Do you have a website to access such if you do? How hard are spirit snakes to wrestle?

Honestly, I have not looked at the APG Witch, but in general, I would think that any of our spells we included on our witch's spell list would be appropriate for any other witch class (be it the APG witch, or any of the older 3.5 versions).

We do not have specific spell errata on our website, no, though that is something we should look at doing. As for the spirit snake spell and wrestling it, I would rule that the spirit snake uses the spellcasters CMB & CMD or a CMB of +5 (+9 for grappling) and CMD of 18, whichever is better. Either way, just as with a real snake, the spirit snake could not be affected by a trip maneuver.
