Wild shape vs Beast shape

Rules Questions

Hey Guys,

So I understand for the purpose of using the Wild Enchant on armor, it only applies to wild shape, and not if say a wizard who had armor with the wild enchant casted beast shape on himself.

That being said, when you transform into an animal using wild shape, can you then cast Animal Growth on yourself to increase your size?

Seems to be a bit of a gray area since wild shape does act like beast shape, but it is a different type of an effect (supernatural vs spell)

Any thoughts/input?

Thanks!

Neither Beast Shape or Wild Shape change your creature type (ie, even though you look like and elephant, and are much stronger, have thicker skin and have the attacks and abilities of an elephant, you are still a humanoid). Thus, you can not use the Animal Growth spell on yourself. However, if you have an arcane caster or a cleric with the strength domain in your party, they can cast Enlarge person on you, but while it will increase your size and reduce your AC, it will not increase your Strength, as the Beast Shape spell already gives you a larger size bonus to your Strength.
