Remove all the stitches from backpacks or saddle bags so when said bag is lifted everything falls out as the bag falls apart.

Tie an archer's arrows together in groups of 5 so when they draw an arrow to notch it, it unfurls a la Robin Hood Men in Tights.

Pink ribbons in a Dwarf's beard (Unless its female). Braid armpit hair. (Cruel) Shave beard.

In my campaign to this point the only description the PCs have of the SL is he is a half man half elk, so have an image of that creep around the camp.

An image of bandits (or something else the Fey have seen) scooby doo sneaking up on them.

When the PCs are camping, use the sleep trick, only add empty skins of booze, stripping and spooning.

For a female PC sleep (on guards) make her look disheveled and take her a little ways from camp while hiding her undergarments. Let her stagger back to the party under the effects of the euphoria gas. (Perlivash calls this one, "walk of shame")

Talking horse, "Hey get the heck off me!" "Ok, ok you have ridden long enough, its my turn." "I'd like a raise." "I want an apple pie! (Which Perlivash tries to get)"

Re: The note thing. For extra fun, arrange for one of your players to visibly talk to you right as the session begins and nod vigorously as you do so.

For even more fun, look at one player, say very loudly, "I got your email," then immediately start the game.

I used a bunch of these suggestions in my game today. My players loved them. Only three of them tried to give gifts, and out of them only one succeeded in the special diplomacy check. They then decided gifts weren't worth it, and just lived through a week of pranks. I decided they wouldn't follow the party out of the forest though.

When the party fought tuskgutter, they greased the barbarian's greataxe to fly out of his hands when he readied an attack when tuskgutter charged. While this put the party in some danger, the barbarian had claws, and the plan was that the dragon would cast sleep on the boar if anything went wrong.

I had them use a silver squirrel illusion as a sort of mascot; it first darted past them into a large bush, which the barbarian jumped into. Then I had them create the sound of an owlbear from within the bush. That's when they realized they were being pranked. After that, I had the silver squirrel be something that draws their attention, or just appears briefly whenever something on the PC's body was tampered with.

My own group of adventurers aren't really in a rush for befriending the fey (only 2 of them did so, and a 3rd one out of five players is curently trying to), so I ran out of pranks during our last game... Hopefully with those tricks I might have enough pranks to last until they "solve" the encounter...

So far the fairies are following the group and doing one prank each every day. Here's a list of pranks that weren't already on this topic (although I might write a few redundant ones by mistake):

-Entangle to trap the group's horses (while they were mounting them).
-"I am an ass" written on a character's horse
-One of my character has an oversized sword, so they wrote "I compensayte for sumthin'" on his back.
-The next morning, he searched his sword for 10 minutes before tripping over it. It was invisible at the same place he left it.
-Grease was used on two occasion: when a character climbed into a tree (to get her armor that the other fairy tied up there), and on a rope held to help another character climb up.
-Casting Sleep on a character mid-sentence, and mid-walk.
-"Helpfully" undo the tent of a character. They were so helpful, in fact, they did it for him before he even wake up!
-Use a mix of Silent Image and Ghost Sound to make some loud singing animal appear (à la "Hello my baby" frog from Looney Tunes) when the character were busy, possibly making them forget what they were going to do/say because of the distraction.
-Keep using Flare in the face of a character several time.

Mage hand the wizards spell book to the next page while he is studying.

Hey, guys, plober here on the boards whipped up a really awesome PDF of everyone's fey pranks. You can check it out on Google Drive here. It's pretty dang amazing.

I want to add that I had to shoehorn several posts into the bullet format.
If anyone finds that his own post isn't of his liking, he can tell me by PM and I'll correct (or remove) it as desired and update the file.
Thanks everybody!

Adding to fey naughtiness.

Log trap (as mentioned earlier a log, a pit, image and grease trap) When the pc fails and falls, take out 15d6s or something ridiculous. Roll it in front of him as you describe how he is falling and falling... tell him to count it and make a doubtful face, hopefully theyll assume you are rolling damage. Then tell the rest of the players that they see their mate rolling and thrashing in a 5ft leaf filled pit, being totally unreasonable. The victim Wakes, sweating and shocked to be..not falling. He is cursed with severe vertigo for howmany hours you rolled die for. Mean but hilarious, a la fey. It should convey the misjudging possible in this realm.

@plober - thanks for the compilation.

And to everyone else - thanks for the great suggestions. So far I just had some boot straps tied together and someone walk into an unexpected spider web - kinda lame. These will give me great fodder for the next several sessions.

I know it's low brow, and simplistic, but nothin' says prankin' like having the paladin wake up to find all his armor smeared on the inside with animal feces.

Four nights in a row.

He really had a hard time not falling when he finally met those two.

My party were all intent on hunting an owlbear whose tracks they had discovered, though worried about whether they would be strong enough to slay it. I had the fey create the image and sounds of an owlbear charging towards them. The party quickly activated their buffs and class abilities, only to see the monster vanish when the cavalier charged straight through it and got his lance stuck in a tree on the other side.

Just a few pointers on some of these gags, which I love by the way.

To pull these off, ask for 10 pre-rolled d20s, saying that you'll use these as needed throughout the night to tell the story.

Also, those who have suggested spellcasting need to realize that spellcasting is really loud, and could give away that they are being messed with by fey or casters. One workaround is to cast the spell away from the party, and then move in. Or replace one of Perlivash's feats with silent spell, so he can cast those cantrips without detection. Thick underbrush doubles the Perception check penalty to -2 per 10 feet away, so that helps the fey's tricks go unnoticed.

Perlivash: his greater invisibility only last 3 rounds, but his stealth +17 is also pretty awesome. If the party is drinking, Perlivash sneaks up, breathes his euphoria on a PC (use a pre-rolled d20 for the Will save so you don't have to reveal metagame knowledge) just as they are tending the fire, gathering firewood, passing a plate of food, getting on a horse...causing some calamity. Mage hand has duration of concentration, good enough to let P get close. He has a fly speed of 60 (perfect!), and can play his pranks in the darkest of nights with darkvision. His ghost sound functions as 12 normal humans singing or talking, so that could provide serious audio cover (-10 Perception?) for Tyg's spellcasting.

Also, his bluff is +9, and he has telepathy! Combine those two, and you can spin any kind of believable yarn about ghosts and haunts, etc. Combine that with his silent image, and bam, instant ghost! A synchronized Entangle can cause more panic as it makes a touch attack that creates euphoria...

Tyg: Since her spells will make noise (unless you give her a metamagic rod of lesser silent spell) have Perlivash cover hers with noise from Ghost Sound. Tyg's invis will give her an effective +36 stealth against visual tracking when moving, 56 when staying still.

Tyg's spells and Perlivash's Greater Invisibility are spell-like abilities, so they wouldn't have any verbal or somatic components. Other than that those are some very good points.

My players are just meeting Tyg and Pervilash in my PbP game. Tyg whispered to one of the players, making the others think he might be a little crazy.

The fey dumped a bucket of water on one PC, and sent a baby boar to kiss another PC. And now my players are having a conversation with two invisible voices, trying to figure out what they want.

Tyv and Pervilash said they want tribute, but won't say what they want because it's valuable information. Now, in front of the players (but still invisible), the two are debating how fun the "bigginses" are, and whether they'll still be fun after someone named Glimmergaunt comes for their "teeth and eyes and hair." I think Glimmergaunt will be a tooth fairy with a single sorc level.

Mainly, this is GM Fun Time, wherein I make my players paranoid.

Silver Crusade

Thanks for all the ammunition. Will be trying these suggestions out tonight. I did add some penalties for a few of the pranks, poison oak incurred a distraction penalty for the rest of the day, itching powder the same thing, spicy meal incurred sickened penalty for a few hours, ect.. I also plan on one of the party members, the bard, not being affected at all from any of the pranks so the party will suspect him.

The spell Shrink Item has lots of potential to confound and infuriate adventures.
