GM's: Some PC Appreciation.

Liberty's Edge

My group finished a major adventure arc on Saturday, and while they were RPing the adventure cleanup I realized how much I appreciated the amount of character my two most regular players had injected into their PCs.

As a result, I'd like a thread dedicated to GM's to sound of about PC's they've truly appreciated having in a game. Sure, we've all had fun killing some characters, but there are already threads dedicated to that and every now and then you have one or two players who really enhance the gaming experience.

The two stars in my game are:

Krispin Glitter (surname self-given, real surname unrevealed): A gnome Druid with a Tyrannosaurus animal companion named Parmesan. She also actually bought a small hairdresser's kit so she can alter her hairstyle whenever the whim strikes her.

Bamf (changes surname to whatever the last insult directed at him was): A tiefling Rogue that plays self-serving Chaotic Neutral to a tee. His primary goal in the world is to convince everyone he meets that he's a "big deal", and as such actually throws away sickening amounts of hard-earned gold to throw parties and buy drinks for people. Any PC who throws away as much gold as he does just to maintain his character concept is a freaking hero.

So, anyone other GM's out there got a PC or two they'd like to tip their hat to?

Liberty's Edge

Really? Not a single GM out there that would like to throw out a PC in their game that they thought was particularly great?

I'm quite lucky to have three great always present PCs in my current Ravenloft game. Everything started in this small rural village..

Christophe : Disguised half-elf rogue/wizard/alchemist and all around rather creepy fellow. Took the Wealth bonus feat I gave at the beginning of the game and used it to have an esoteric shop without any customers whatsoever. Still, he keeps on trying to fill his shop..namely by stealing necromancy-tainted carpenters tools from said murderous ghostly carpenter..

Gaston Corbineau - Alcoholic ranger and has a rather odd stench that follows him. A bit dim-witted. Took the Unwholesome Ichor feat..A bit of a revolting character in terms of habits. Scared by magic and refusing to receive healing..Talks way too much and way too loud about things that should only be whispered.

Rold - Manly fighter/entrepreneur and basically Gaston from Beauty and the Beast with a knack for business and metal forging. Left his bonus feat in my own hands, he likes surprises. His habits mainly involve writing up an exhaustive inventory and playing the travel organizer. The party never finds itself out of shovels, oil, chains or ladders. Also interacts with self-created NPCs, namely Caroline a barmaid in their small village..from whom he had to hide an almost naked gnome knocking on his door after a misadventure in the swamps.. but that's another story! (The gnome is another PC)
