Ok, it's official, I hate Rob Liefield

They're making one; a big budget John Carter movie.

They also did a cheap ass Tracy Lords as Dejah Thoris movie recently.

The really sad part is that I like the stuff he creates (characters, etc) I just hate when he works on them. I loved the new Youngblood series, until he came onboard and sent it down the tubes. I'd also like to see a new Supreme series, but again if he got involved it wouldn't last long. Are they even still publishing Youngblood. I don't think I've seen an issue in a year.
I never did like his art, although he can draw far better than I can so I guess I can't say too much. Still, having him on a project for a prolonged period is a death touch. It's too bad too, the new Youngblood was a lot of fun.

I think it's the jarring use of pink more than anything that freaks me out. And junk where you aren't really expecting it. And the faces. And everything.

Do note however, that troubling imagery aside, the man can still draw a foot.

I didn't find it so horrible, just not good.

I am at this exact moment reading A Princess of Mars, so imagine my dismay when I clicked onto this page and found a picture of Sola with her 4 gigantic green breasts flopping all over the place and JC with his sex hanging out of a hirsute bush. I don't think I'll be able to finish the book now.

This looks great. Under the appropriate influence, I bet reading this is a lot of fun.

I didn't mind his work on X-Force. It wasn't great, but there was worse comic art around and I wasn't really picky about art at the time. It actually seems like he has gotten worse since then.
