The brave halfling dashes down the dock after the little girl. He flings his rope across, but the child is not strong enough to hold on. It is then Mijanor's magic gives life to the rope, which snakes around and ties itself to the girl. Jawn pulls her to shore and lifts her out of the water. For his part, Cerinwë commandeers an abandoned boat to rescue the rest of the survivors.

Jawn will as Andrei to hoist the girl on his shoulder, and ask her to scan for her parents.

"Mommee!" cries out the child when she sees her woman on Cerinwë's boat. Mother and daughter are reunited, and crowds soon appear to cheer the new heroes of Carrion Hill. Even the heavens seem to approve when the clouds part to reveal the brilliant morning sun.

Giving Jawn a knowing wink, "Looks like yer 'he 'ero o' 'he 'our lad. Good work with 'at quick 'inkin' aboot usin 'he rope." Glancing over to Andrei, "Ya brought 'he beastie low. Lookin' like we should be 'eadin' up t' speak wi' 'he mayor. Tell 'im 'he good news."

"Are we sure it's dead? whispers Cerinwë. "It's not regenerating or playing dead?"

The elf goes to make sure it is most sincerely dead.

Andrei slapped Jawn on the back and grinned at the others, even as he went with Cerinwë to ascertain that the monster wouldn't rise again.

(Assuming it is dead:)

He fished up the thing's head and nodded to Mijanor. "As you said, the mayor. I tell you, the look on his face when he sees this, it will be a fine thing."

Before everyone's eyes, the spawn’s flesh melts and evaporates. In a few moments there is nothing but a crusty circle on the dock to mark its existence.

Andrei sighed, wiping his hand on his pants. "Well, I suppose it is enough that we have witnesses, neh?" He smiled at the townsfolk, looking for some faces in particular, but he knew the chance that his family were there was small.

"Let's collect our fee for a job well done, what do you say, my friends?" The sentiment seemed to have a lot more sincerity behind it than the first time he'd used it.

It shouldn't be so long before some Crows show up. Let's let them take over the area and talk to witnesses. Then we can head up to the mayor's offices.

Cerinwë rows up and discharges his passengers, then ties off the boat.

"We have done well this day. Is it finished, do you think?"

Yes, my new friend, I do believe it is done. Time to reap the rewards I would say, starting with a hot bath...

Jawn breaks the fourth wall, looking up expectantly at the DM.

DM's still here. Just taking a breather.

It's been two weeks. I'm calling this one.

Gentlemen, it has been a pleasure.

JZ, thanks for running it. I enjoyed myself.

Yep, yep, I understand completely. Shame, since all we needed was a wrap up post it from what it sounds like. JZ has been posting other places recently. Good adventuring' wi' ya.

We've completed everything in the module. Sorry, but I haven't worked up a concluding post to this adventure yet.

I really enjoyed gaming with you all. My first Pathfinder game, and my first PbP! JZ, if you are inspired to write the concluding post on this one, I'd love to read it, but I completely understand if you want to call this good. Thanks again for a great run!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll get off my arse and post something soon.
