Yes. But you also had to go into sudden-death overtime against two other teams to do it. ;-)

And that was cool as well, actually. The competitiveness was still there the whole way through. So, it wasn't like a single table completely ran away with it.

Thanks for beating me to that post :) It wasn't like one team ran away with it...three tied for first, and I think one team was just a point behind the three of us. Plus, it took *three* tie-breakers as I recall :P

Yup. There were 4 superstar tables in the room, three made it all the way to the third tie-breaker round where the Razmir folks managed to get one more planet name than the other two. It was a close victory.

That said, I had a lot of fun with the tables that gave up and got funny. They were hilarious.

Maybe there should be a special jury prize this year for the most entertaining table. Or everybody at the WORST table gets an "I came to PaizoCon and got stumped by McFrosty" T-shirt.

(I was at the Boomer's Tumors table in 2009, enjoying the experience vicariously; I had originally been at another table but was consolidated because the original table only had about four people. This year I'm bringing my brother who knows even less than me about Pathfinder, so hopefully I'll feel knowledgeable by comparison! :))

I was at the 'subdued-yay' table at the middle back with Crystal Frasier & Co. (and Ross! - but he couldn't help) - we also had a 3-way tie for I think 5th or 6th, and had great fun at it, absolutely the best part of the weekend for me.

I can imagine it would have been a bit more frustration without some help, and probably nothing will recapture the magic of the first time. I am looking forward to the banquet (if not even the preview), and this is a big part of it.

I just made a bunch of flashcards. Any proper nouns or dates I left off should get added before the banquet.

I believe that tables should be able to bring small water baloons and squirt guns to assasinate those tables that are doing 'too well' in the trivia challenge.

That could be the great equalizer!

:)

I'll need a table for myself, preferably one on a centrally located platform, with a spotlight focused on it so that everyone can bask in my glory. You can leave space on the floor around the table, in case I want to invite some folks up to sit around so that I can drop table scraps for them.

Is it okay if this platform is in Afghanistan?

I actually just finished building Sebastian's platform of honor for the banquet. I have a picture of it right here.

So... no, he won't really be in Afghanistan.

Spoiler:
...unless he clears the Pacific.

So, you want me up in the sky like a heavenly body, where primitive people** can worship me as a god? Sweet!

Spoiler:
**Note - this means you!
