Anyone interested in playing 'Gallery of Evil'?

Thomas Thiessen wrote:

Play by post or with an online tabletop software or what? If it's using software, then I'd be up for it, date/time permitting.

Absolutely !

Shadow Lodge

Sure, anything I should know?

I'm very interested.

Qadira

If there is still room, I would like in.

I'm very interested too!

I'm interested. PbP? House rules?

I'd be interested...

But a little more info would be nice :)

PBP. 8th-level. Takes place in Absalom. Pathfinder core rules only..no bizarre mindflaying sorcerers or anything.

We'll play with 6 characters. First submitted, first in-slot.

I'm definitely still interested.

But to create a character I still need some more info ;)

- How do I create the stats (roll dice or point buy?)
- Traits ?
- Starting gold ?

I'm thinking of a Barbarian ... I can have a rudimentary character ready very soon.

Human Barbarian:

[Short, short background]
Found on the road by dwarf caravan, tribe killed by orcs.
Has no memory of his past life, dwarf warrior trained him.
Out in the world looking for his heritage, unlucky so far.

[Short, short description]
Tall, muscular male human. Wary eyes, always on the lookout.
Competitive nature but far from a rash barbarian, assesses the situation first before acting. But when spurred into action, all his power and will go into his actions.
Learned to be patient from dwarf tutor, but can sometimes be just as gruff as ... well ... a dwarf ;)

[Combat]
If possible he lets fly one or two throwing axes before moving into melee.

He then likes to bash away with his shield to knock opponents to the ground, then finish them off with powerfull hits with his battle axe.

[Stats]
Str 16 (14 +2(Human))
Dex 16 (14 +2(level 4 & 8 advancement))
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 14
Cha 10

[Gear]
Breastplate of some sort.
Large shield of some sort.
Battle axe as main weapon.
Throwing axes as ranged weapon.

[Skills]
Perception (+13)
Survival (+13)
Sense Motive (+6)
Diplomacy (+4)
Climb (+10 / +12 Raging)
Heal (+6)
Knowledge(Nature) (+7)
Knowledge(Engineering) (+4)

[Feats & Rage Powers]
Level 1
Power Attack (-1 Attack / +1 Damage)
Improved Shield Bash (Keep shield AC when bashing)

Level 2
Rage Power: Roused Anger (Enter rage even when fatigued)

Level 3
Improved Bullrush (+2 bonus to Bullrush / No AoO)

Level 4
Rage Power: Low Light Vision

Level 5
Two Weapon Fighting (Lessen two weapon fighting penalties)

Level 6
Rage Power: Night Vision

Level 7
Shield Slam(Free bullrush attack when hit by shieldbash)

Level 8
Rage Power: Internal Fortitude (Immune to sickening and nauseated conditions while raging)

I think I'd better bow out. I'm planning on starting a new game here. Good luck and good gaming, guys!

I will post a wizard a little later today

Stats will be rolled, traits are allowed, and starting gold = 33,000gp.

Sorry to be the one again to ask this ;)

How do we roll em ?

Shadow Lodge

That's a good question, since there are a lot of ways to roll for stats, so no need to worry about being 'that guy.'

I'm thinking about making a Druid7/Shadowdancer1 or Paladin6/Shadowdancer2, depending on the rolls.

Thanks :)

3d6 twice for each stat, discard lowest roll, arrange results as desired.

Qadira

I am bowing out of this one. I hope the rest of you best of luck!

Is this right?

3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) = 9 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2) = 10
3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2) = 13 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4) = 16

My dice rolls ... Hope the Dice Monster is good to me :P

Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6) = 12 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) = 14
Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2) = 9 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) = 14
Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5) = 11 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) = 7
Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) = 9 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 6) = 14
Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5) = 7 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) = 14
Roll 1: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5) = 12 / Roll 2: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5) = 12

Not bad ... I see a Pattern here ;)

Roll 1: 14
Roll 2: 14
Roll 3: 11
Roll 4: 14
Roll 5: 14
Roll 6: 12

I think I'll go for an Elf Wizard ... instead of the barbarian.

I'll create one today ... It'll be a blasty wizard.

Room for another?

I think I'll back out on this one ... Good luck all :)

I've seen three sets of stats rolled, so yea, looks like you're good. :)

Thomas Thiessen wrote:

If there's still a slot left, I'm interest in playing a human bard (with a possible later path to duelist).

3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3) = 14, 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6) = 11
3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8, 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2) = 9

3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4) = 12, 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) = 9
3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2) = 9, 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) = 12
3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2) = 13, 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4) = 16

14, 9, 14, 12, 12, 16 before advancement.

Let me know if I'm in, and I'll work up the character from there.

Thanks,
Tim.

I'm working on an arcane trickster.

The funny thing is, I don't recall posting this message. lol. Looks like i'm playing ;) cool..

3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6) = 183d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4) = 15
3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) = 103d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6) = 11

3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5) = 123d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) = 14
3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) = 63d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) = 14
3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2) = 113d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6) = 15

18, 11, 14, 14, 14, 15

Hmm.. Is it core only? And what's the current list of current players/characters look like?

Edit: I'll play a dwarven fighter

Decided to go with a monk instead. Maybe a monk/fighter multiclass depending on the groups melee abilities.
I was gonna make him yesterday but my grandfather is in the hospital, and he doesn't have long again so i've spent a lot of time with him.

I hope to have him done by tonight.

Nate "Silvertongue" Adams

Human Bard 8, CG, Age 23

Growing up, Nate spent much of his time around the market-places and inns of Absalom. Not engaging in the scuffles and small sparring matches, nor lifting apples from the fruit stalls or copper coins from unwary travellers, as so many of his playmates turned to as they grew older.

No, Nate was there to listen to the stories. Tales of daring, high adventure, brave heroes and terrible villains. Tales of mighty blows struck against great evil, of eldritch sorceries wrenched from beyond the veil of reality, of gibbering horrors lurking in the dark places of the world.

All these tales he learned, and with them a way to tell tales of his own. Tales that might bolster or hide his role in a minor piece of mischief, depending on the audience, or smooth over his dealings with merchant or bar-keep. But tales also that would serve to inspire those around him.

Quick-tongued, quick of wit and quick with a blade, he grew. Sometimes too quick, as tongue and blade alike lead him far ahead of his plans, and often of his simple common sense...

I'll press on with spells and equipment tomorrow, but just to keep you in the loop. Hope that's OK so far - please shout if there's anything that jars with what you're looking (or if I've made any mistakes).

Cheers,
Tim.

Tim Franklin wrote:

The bard works out beautifully with the adventure setup.

For anyone interested, it'll be starting out inside the city...once we have some more solid ideas for characters, we'll start talking about pre-game connections and info.

Gryphon Gold's Arcane Trickster

7d10 + 48 ⇒ (7, 3, 10, 7, 4, 4, 4) + 48 = 87

Added as an alias, I'll make the character updates there to save any more excessively-wordy forum posts.

Here is the monk. Not totally done, but allmost.

Added an alias for the dwarven fighter, still working out some math and feats

Hello, all! Just wondering if there was still a slot open for the Pathfinder RPG One-shot? I am a veteran player from over 25 years of D&D but am relatively new (but not a COMPLETE noob) to play by post :) I am up to play just about any class that the group might need, I just wanna get in and play around some, lol. Were ther any healers/priests ? I didnt remember seeing one. Regardless, just let me know what type of character is needed and if there is still room to play. I would love getting in on this game! Thanks

Hmmmm....dont know if Im in the game or not but looking around at the characters thus far here is what I see: a dwarven fighter, a human monk, a human bard, and an elven arcane trickster. I was thinking of playing a female (not sure on the race just yet; leaning towards a human) cleric who has just been reinstated to the faith of Iomedae. I was reading up on the cleric class when I came across the ex-cleric passage in the text. This got me started thinking: How would a cleric play knowing that he or she had just gotten back in with the good graces of their deity? It might make for some interesting role-play :) AAANNNNDDDDD, since the game is 8th level characters, that gives plenty of opportunities for the Cleric to have sufficiently ticked off her deity and paid (literally) the price to get back in on speaking terms with her again. What does everyone else think?

I'll take on an extra player, just to see the RPing.

Put me back in then ...

I think the barbarian can be a good addition to the party.

Just let me know if I can re-enter the submission :)
I'll create an alias then.

-TDL

Great! Thanks for the opportunity. Ok, here are my rolls for stats

3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) = 11 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2) = 14

3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) = 12 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2) = 10

3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4) = 10 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15

3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9 / 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3) = 6

3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5) = 11 / 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1) = 11

3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2) = 14 / 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5) = 16

Unfortuantely, I have to get ready for work now but I will have an alias and the rest of her character sheet worked up by the end of today (3-3-10).
