Come On Round 3!!!!

RPG Superstar™ 2010 General Discussion

Legendary Games, Necromancer Games

I'm excited to see what you guys think of the creatures people statted out for Round 3. There were some interesting choices, some got re-concepted to good effect and some not so good. We had a few multiple versions of the same creatures (yes, that means more than one creature had multiples, but I can't say how many or which ones, you will see soon enough)

I just can't wait to see the discussion. This should be fun.

It's all part of the American Idol meme:

"And we'll find out...

...right after the break."

I should have time shifted this whole contest, then I could skip these irritating commercial breaks!!! Where is that Digital Time shifting technology when you need it.

Yikes! I use these exact 4 words at the end of kick-off meetings when we start up a daunting, under-resourced project at work. My co-workers have threatened to create t-shirts. ;-)

Good luck, everyone!

More than anything else, I'm amped up to see what everyone else did!

At the moment I am in some doubt if I will post regarding actual Round 3 entries or subsequent Rounds. I found Round 2 particularly draining, even without some of the 'off-stage' distractions, and the thought of having to wade through a sea of overly descriptive aberrations and undead again is not one which I enjoy.

As soon as you thought you were out, we're going to drag you right back in. ;)

Charles, I can appreciate the sentiment.

Speaking entirely for myself and my entry, I invite you to change your mind. I'd appreciate any constructive critique you might offer with your strength in game system number-crunching and Golarion lore.

one hour, 15 minutes and counting...

Lets hope not only contributors - but judges as well - stepped up their game this round.

Sorry, I only brought my "B" game this round. I took a step backwards. :)

I understand it's a lot of work for you to read and post thoughtful responses for everyone, but I just wanted to let you know, I personally really appreciated the time you took commenting on my entry.

If you bow out, that's obviously your choice to make, and I won't fault you for it (especially considering how busy real life can be), but you will certainly be missed!

I know I made an aberrant horror, but your time and effort was appreciated Charles! :D

I have gone so far as to look at (and post regarding) the Round 3 chymick since that was the only monster to be statted in this Round which I voted for in Round 2.
I don't know - if that ends up being my only post on a Round 3 entry - if I will have done the contestant in question any favours by doing that... In concept this is an interesting Round, in so far as Sean has bowled the contestants a brutal bouncer a Round earlier than happened last year, leaving contestants less firmly set at the crease the dilemma of how to react.
Anyway, I'm off to bed now, goodnight.

My policy is to always play the hook shot, but my batting average in D2 grade of the local comp is only about 26, so what do I know?

Star Voter Season 9

It strikes me that nobody came up with a stat block for the incredibly awesome splorudra.

I hear you. My policy is to go big and shoot for the stars. You might miss, but at least you took the shot. ;-)

I would loved to have seen that too! Thanks for the rave, Tom!

Did I mention before on this forum PaizoCon (Seattle) and PaizoCon UK (Birmingham) later this year? I did? Well let me take the opportunity to mention them again.

Hah. Your wish is my command. I have looked over both the astrumal entries (and the ardorwesp too).

At present I am averaging somewhere in the region of an hour or so to write/preview/consider/edit/reconsider/re-edit/etc a Round 3 feedback post, so to everyone else in Round 3 don't get too excited if you haven't seen one yet from me that you might. (Or certainly not before voting closes.)

Okay, I'm off to bed now.
