Kobold Quarterly had a great article by a young designer. That is, a young lady all of 11 years old! A very flavorable monster..

Having been sweating over my entry last week it was an interesting perspective shift.
We hook her up with nerrat and they will breed super gamers!

At the age of 11, I didn't even know about RPGs (started gaming at age 12).
This girl has a head start and is doing great!
That is impressive. At age 11, I was making "epic" monsters that exploded for all the dice I owned when the characters killed them. So, yeah, she's way more advanced than I was.
Wow, that's totally sick! The monster is awesome, and the stats are nearly flawless. What's the age limit for RPG superstar?

The link, it returns a blank page for me. Sad, am I. :(

Just head over to koboldquarterly.com
Scroll down - it's maybe two or three articles down.
Yes, the link probably changed as there was new weekly content added.
Actually, I just checked ...
It looks like the site might actually be down at the moment ...
Stupid internet!
Sorry folks, site got a little slammed because of two very popular recent posts, but the site is now back up.

Glad to see the site is back up!
Impressive. A great new twist on a story out of classical mythology. keen unholy vorpal sheers +5, nice touch.
Now added to my OTHER PEOPLE'S MONSTERS folder.
Atropos 13 is one awesome monster. Lovin' the flav'! I am truly impressed by this.
Wolfgang, I'd like to nominate this to be included in the next Kobold Quarterly, if possible.
I agree it's good stuff, but it won't appear in the next KQ (which is heading to press shortly).
However, we'll surely have another King of the Monsters contest this summer or fall, and perhaps the author of Atropos 13 will submit another.
Or heck, she might submit something directly to KQ.com for a future trap, monster, or spell feature. I published my first print work at about age 15, and many designers start even younger than that. All it takes is a good article and a parental permission slip.
