Rules Questions

Can somebody PLEASE tell me where in the core book or PRD I can find carrying capacities for backpacks, pouches, sacks, saddlebags, etc.? I've been flipping back and forth through my book and poring over the PRD and can't find this info, just the weight of the items themselves when empty. Thanks in advance!

Couple of hits on the search on this site .. it's nowhere in the books or PRD.

Hope THIS helps :)

All I can tell you is that a portable hole will hold a bit over 32 thousand litres of beer.

You could have linked directly to the info instead of the page with the link to the info on it lol

Here, try this.

If I *knew* about that link ofcourse ... which I didn't ;)

But thanks for the link :)

Scarab Sages

There was a great article in one of the newer Dragon magazines, before they went to 4.0. I've been looking for it for ages, so if you find it, or someone else knows about it, could you post the issue # here?

And on a similar note, does anyone know just how big the standard "tent" in the equipment list is? How many people can comfortably fit in one? How many people could not-so-comfortably squeeze into one, if need be?

Ironically, if you have access to a 3.0 PHB it tells you.

From memory:

Backpack can hold about 40 pounds. More can be secured to the outside of it - say another 40 pounds as a 'rule of thumb'.

Belt Pouch can hold about 3 pounds. (Spell component pouches are full.)

Sacks can hold about 20 pounds.

Saddlebags can hold 10 - 15 pounds per bag this I am rather vague on.

The 'standard tent' is for a two-person tent.

Adjust capacity in accordance with encumbrance reduction.

Thank you all. That link helps IMMENSELY. I just wonder why that stuff didn't make it into the book in the first place. Ah well, nobody is perfect, as well I should know :-)

Thank you for posting/finding this information. It slipped my mind, and it's a very good thing to once again have acquired/recalled the desire for such knowledge.

THAT BACKPACK IS GONNA EXPLODE.
