Mongoose Publishing Encyclopedia Arcane and Slayer's Guides

Conversions

Anyone here try converting any of the rules in those books to Pathfinder? One of the things I'm most interested in is the Encyclopedia Arcane Familiars book.

Well, the Slayers' Guides are now mostly irrelevant, though (of the Arcane books I have) Necromancy & Chronomancy might be salvageable.

Dark Archive

Here's a bunch of the Open Source Content (OSC) available on-line. (Scroll down to Mongoose)

Liberty's Edge

I think the Slayer's Guide to Hobgoblins is still mostly relevant, since the Pathfinder Hobgoblins are still mainly LE militaristic cultures seeking to conquer the world and enslave other races.

If you play in Golarion.

However, there might be people who prefer Mongoose fluff to Paizo fluff for their home campaigns.

Scarab Sages

+1 for the idea. I love the encyclopedia books.

Well, I'm a Mongoose fan myself, but I was meaning more about the Bestiary fluff, but still, yes :P

I really liked the idea of the Familiar book. One of the things I really wish is they had expanded rules on all animal companions (any class feature which gets you an animal, not just the Druid/Ranger Animal Companion). It was awesome how they had the different paths familiars could follow to allow them to be more combat oriented to protect the wizard while he's casting spells, or utilitarian paths.
