Large Warhammer question

I have a question concerning a Large Warhammer.

If my ranger (medium fellow) uses a Large Warhammer two-handed, does this negate the -2 penalty ?

I will NOT use it one-handed, because then I will get that penalty which I really don't want :P

I want to use this weapon, because there is nothing like a maul or something similar.

No it does not go away. You still take the -2. The two handed bonus may make up for this, but you still take the -2

Note you can not use a large one handed weapon one handed. You must use it two handed or not at all
