Repairing Season 0

Liberty's Edge 5/5 *** Venture-Captain, Missouri—Cape Girardeau

I know I can not be alone at being frustrated with running season 0 scenarios using Pathfinder rules, with the changes that have been made.Don't get me wrong; I love Pathfinder and the Organized Play of the Pathfinder Society. I understand that Paizo as a whole has a lot to work on, going forward. So I have the following question, as posted from another thread.

Have any of the writers of Season 0 scenarios offered "fixes" to those modules since the changes to Pathfinder rules? I understand that Paizo and Joshua Frost have no inclination (or time) to "re-edit" the original season 0 scenarios (for obvious time-consuming reasons), but how about the original authors? Just curious!

I thought the official line was to calculate CMB and CMD, and call it a day? No further modifications needed. Might me a little underpowered, but with backwards compatibility and all, not too bad.

I haven't really looked, but d you see a lot of things you think need re-stating? Monsters could just be swapped for new ones with Bestiary stats. Probably mostly just stuff with class levels?

Yes, I've run a couple of Season 0 mods in Season 1 and had no trouble. They are a little easy is all. Nothing broken as far as I can tell.

I've also been told that you have to use the new version of 'traits', when I asked about the changes in Undead. (IE you can now crit/sneak attack them)

Although, yes, the official line is to calculate CMB and CMD, I have stopped carrying the Monster Manual from WoTC altogether. I find that it is less than exciting for my players, and the owner of my FLGS would prefer to see items STILL IN PRINT in use, to also encourage sales of Paizo product.

I have used the Bestiary guidelines to construct or substitute some monsters for Season 0 scenarios.

Scenario Spoilers ahead:
(such as adding the Advanced and Giant template to the large constrictor snake in Asmodeus Mirage, and using the new Swarm rules for Prince of Augustana)
What I am asking is how the writers would alter things based on changes to the Pathfinder rules.

I was told that minor changes are fine as long as the CR isn't changed, now the chronicle log may be more of what you are speaking of since items available may no longer exist. I have often tweaked the Antagonists to fit the new rules, also make sure you adjust for the correct skills and skill checks. Remember it's the story that is important.

This was there line because they said if we *must* update then we have failed in our goal of backwards compatibility.
