Yeah, they do mostly radio-friendly rock. I wouldn’t really classify them as hard rock (for the most part), more soft rock or pop rock with the occasional alternative rock edge. They occasionally mix it up with a few harder songs or tracks that don’t really fit into the rock genre at all.
They have a few good songs (IMO) and a few that I could miss, but overall they’re not bad if you like that sort of thing.

Know 'em? I've met 'em. Seriously, a couple of friends and I ran into them in an airport in Costa Rica a couple years back. I'm not the biggest fan, but one of the girls was having a complete meltdown. Sort of like what would happen if I ran into Ian MacKaye on the street.
In any case, I think they've got a couple of OK songs, but they're nothing to write home about.

I met Dick Lucas at a Citizen Fish show a few years ago, and I ended up embarassing myself, I was just so excited to meet the man that made my favorite music.
I don't know what I'd do if I ever met Ian though. I can HOPE I wouldn't meltdown like I did with Dick, but I bet it'd be even worse. Worst thing is those guys HATE hero worship.

If I ever met Henry Rollins, there is nothing I could do that would stop me from getting my face dented in. Two social maladroits with anger issues in one room, plus some one-way weirdo fan gibberish. That will not end well.

I haven't delved into their full catalogue, but I've heard a couple of songs I like. Don't know how representative they are of the rest of their songs, but give them a listen:
This is one of my favorite songs by them, and Yes, I am a semi-fan.
The Warning. They remind me of the band Live. Lots of good tunes, an awesome vocalist, and most songs just seem to be there and not really stand out as the best of the time.
Very good band though.

If so, what/who are they like? They sound like a heavy rock band. (A friend mentioned them earlier today, but I've never heard them.)
Solid Death Metal with the first Morbid Angel drummer
