Some random tidbits on my campaign setting not substantial enough to warrant a new thread:
I've decided to go with one magic system, not three. In effect, psionics are a subset of arcane magic, sharing the same source but slightly different implimentation, while divine magic doesn't exist, as the deities don't really do that kind of thing.
The necessary ajustments are to ban the Cleric, Druid, Paladin, and Oracle. The Inquisitor, meanwhile, is an alternate form of Magus. Rangers are unchanged asde from not being classified as divine, and remain able to use spells, though I do plan to explain that, in world, there are more Rangers with the Skirmisher archetype than without. Many of those divine spells that do not have direct reliance on divine intervention are being distributed among the remaining spellcasting classes. This includes healing. Yes, this does mean a Wizard or Sorcerer can learn to heal.
To prevent Wizards from becoming too powerful as a result to this increase in available spells, limits on how many spells a Wizard has in her spell book and where those spells will come from shall be enforced.

Curious why did you decide to ban divine magic?
It's because the direction I want to go in with deities does not fit with a pantheon of deities offering people magical power. What exists in the way of deities is far too mysterious and poorly understood. The basic situation is a lot like the real world. Many of us think there is something out there. Some believe they know what it is, others do not. Still others believe there is nothing. None of these people is demonstratably right or wrong. This direction does not fit well with the existance of divine-granted power.

Druids got kicked for reasons unrelated to divine magic. I use a firearm heavy modified Pathfinder, and they are too melee focused. That said, while the class does not exist, Druids do exist as an organization with a large amount of power. They just take levels in Wizard (which has a homebrew nature archetype that mixes Druid spells with arcade power), Sorcerer (which has a homebrew animal bloodline available), Witch, Ranger, or, on occasion, Magus or Inquisitor. The class may not be around do to it's melee focus, but the character archetype and Druidic organizations do exist.

I use Inquisitors ase something of a non-religion alternative to the Paladin type character that can be of any alignment. Essentially, they are people who use a mixture of weapons and magic to further what they judge to be the cause of right and judge those they dislike. They are an alternate class of the Magus in my world, meaning that all Inquisitors are considered to be Magi.

Druids aren't really that melee-centred? They can choose not to have animal companions, and they can wildshape into creatures that don't rely on melee abilities.
Then again, in a world with bulletproof vests and such, they won't fit in too well.
Man do I love druids.
I've always thought of wildshape as their primary combat tool, however. They do fit in (the technology level is a mix of 1880s, my own ideas, and magic), but I use other classes to make them.

It might be of some assistance in your campaign. In the Dark Sun campaign the Gods are dead. Clerics exist, but can still cast spells due a connection to the world. Also, if your world has religious ideas like the modern world then it would make sense to have clerics who don't cast spells. Or whatever.

In my world it was never really sure they existed. That said, there are plenty of clerics who don't cast spells. You can make a cleric with any class, as being a cleric is basically fluff.

I am well.
My car is finally fixed. Well, not really, but it's inspected. And although I think it's still a deathtrap, at least it's legal.
It's spring. My compound-mate's dogs are growing fast. Our party cleric has moved out and so far survived his experiments in Buddhist homelessness. There are gardens both at the compound and at my parents' house. My mother has a new kitten. You know, all that good ol' nature shiznit with some Eastern religion thrown in for good measure.
Actually, speaking of religion, there's a book sale at the Methodist church tomorrow. There's some Methodists out there who read some good books, lemme tell you.
What's down in Orcland?

The wife and I are going to take in the Avengers film this evening then head to the Brimfield Fair on the morrow. Then celebrate Mother's Day might stop in to see my Mother as well as get my wife something more than likely at the Fair tomorrow.
What do you grow in your compounds gardens? Do you live close to your parents? Do you have alot of house mates? Glad to hear the car is back in business. It is funny I read kitten as kitchen I guess I have cooking on the brain.

ha ha I did not know you were a gardener type.
The Brimfield Fair is the world's largest outdoor Antique Fair. It's huge will all sorts of stuff there. Carolyn and I like the antique stuff.
What kind of dogs do you have? I thought goblins hated dogs?
So going to check out the Methodist book sale huh. I may pick up some nice hard cover books tomorrow if the price is right.

I have been intrigued by this idea for a while. Well not the religion bit, but I might head into the wilderness once school is out.
I really want to see The Avengers because it was made by The Whedon. I might ride into town this weekend?
S%$! I should've gone to the theater today.
This is a game my friend is playing.
V for Vendetta is pretty great, even if it doesn't hold up too well to successive viewings. I appreciated the 1984 references.
e: well guten nacht I suppose
