Welcome to the FAWTL Refugee Thread, Lord Dice. We are small now, but we are growing! Gark is sometimes a little unneccesarily brusque, but just so you know, he is correct; knock WZ and you're goin' DOWN! Not that you were...

Also, Mama Kelsey, congrats on the Gay Marriage thread! It has easily outstripped my fave threads! Unfortunately, I am done with it (at least for now) because 1) I appear to keep attracting the wrath of the moderators; and 2) I am not going to engage bigots in rational discourse.

The Black Goblin and his band of evil mice slaying cats just had eggs for breakfast. Low and behold Comrade Doodlebug is up and at it.

Whats up? Man .... I mean Goblin Brother in arms

Yes, it's true, I need help.

Anyway, I refuse to have internet conversations with someone I'll be speaking to irl in a few hours!

These words . . . these are words of power, my friends.

He is . . . new. Sorta. He's posted in here once before, however.

Liberty's Edge

And while I'm at it . . . have a hilarivicious strawman. (haha so offensive)

(these people are so offensive)

(haha)

Blatant strawmen are hilarious.

Liberty's Edge

and since I already have three posts in quick succession . . . I gotta call out this entire week for being great and having no homework somewhat

And Game of Thrones is pretty cool. Different from what I've been reading lately, but it's still quite reminiscent of the Stephen Rs of Lawhead and Donaldson. As I read, I wondered if my grandpa would like it, since he's given me so many books of similar genre. The gayness is quite veiled when compared with Inda, so it could happen. hrrmm . . . I think I'll email him about it. It's superior to Lawhead for certain, and perhaps Donaldson and Smith as well. Not Stroud, though, because that dude is awesome.

I just sat here and read that parable aloud to the Black Goblin and assorted others and we all hee hee!ed heartily.

Tonight: Clover's Crossing, Part 2!

Liberty's Edge

I haven't finished reading that derailing thing, but it's interesting. Not too funny for me since I do not think I am the intended audience, but it's nice to have suspicions* confirmed.

*about what is offensive, and shit

(not that it's likely to alter my behaviour)

Have fun, you crazy Easterner!

Good night you princes of Maine, you kings of New England!

Liberty's Edge

Oh and hey Hitdice.

My players walked up to the precipice of Clover's Crossing, gazed down upon the teeming hordes of undeath, said "Meh, whatever," and hacked their way to glory!

Actually, they sent the two non-present players to go burn down the grain silo (which made Tramora happy) to draw off most of the ghouls and blitzkrieged it down to the ruined church where they decimated a motely horde of ghouls, ghasts, ghoul-stirges (Necromancer's Tome of Horrors!), wights and a skeletal mage. The redshirts were all killed, and there were some close calls with paralysis, but, in the end, Avianna Silverplume's falcon plucked the Bone Ioun Stone out of the air and the party slaughtered whoever was left.

I'll kill them all next week.

Ghoul, ghoul, Ghoul's Night Out!

Liberty's Edge

haha

Is this a Paizo adventure?

No. We're playing Carrion Crown. Kind of.

In between the first and second volumes, there's a mark on the map for a place called Clover's Crossing. I guess CC started as one of those little blurb/epigraph stories Paizo uses, this one from one of the early monster books about ghouls. It got blown up to a whole paragraph entry in the Ustalav book and it's just thrown out there as a DM-seed idea.

And it's all about ghouls.

Anyway, I've let my players become too powerful. Two games ago, we sat down at the table and TWO characters were all like "Guess what. I'm flying, bizitch!" And if that wasn't enough, the summoner has taken to summoning a lantern archon named Zirkon 316!

I wish they were all first level again.

Well, Mama Kelsey, did we learn anything from this experiment in public discourse? Did we?

Because I didn't. Now, I, of course, have no idea what led Mr. Byers to close the thread at that particular juncture, but I can remain eternally and perversely proud of my post that ends it.

I award myself 1000 bonus quest completion XP.

I learned that I probably shouldn't post threads about this stuff.

Doodlebug, I must say that I am warming up to this nickname quite a bit.

Kill 'em all and start over.

3d6, take the lowest two, low-magic, long-experience commoners. Only oppressed races.

Last one to die wins.

I'll place my knapsack on my back
My crossbow on my shoulder
I'll march away to the firing line
And I'll kill that elven soldier

The dwarves in my homebrew campaign setting are awesome. I say this as a die hard elf fan, too. I'm proud of the work I did with the dwarves. I'd actually be willing to play one for the first time ever.

Liberty's Edge

It is what we in the fandom like to refer to as "refined humour."

It is what those outside the fandom like to refer to as "demonic, twisted . . . a testament to the depths of man's perversions."

But it's funny! The mods take him out.

I'm in love.

Muppet Babies erotica!

Liberty's Edge

I've found a FaWTL substitute!

It's got the same great flavour, but with [s] tags and Homestuck!

and I'm already screwing things up, but maybe it's like the preliminary screwup before I'm accepted, which is a transition stage to when I completely offend everyone even though that's basically impossible with Homestucks

I want to use a non-airsoft version for my BBEG.

I just got a copy of The Book of Vile Darkness (3.5 version). I wanted it so bad, because evil should be evil.

Cool. Do you also have the Book of Exalted Deeds?

Yes, I do. I bought it 3 or 4 years ago. It's a very good book. Nice to finally have it's evil counterpart.
