Product Discussion

TOME OF SECRETS, the first third-party support product for THE PATHFINDER ROLEPLAYING GAME, is, as of today, available for sale in local game stores world-wide.

The supplement, which debuted at GenCon, is available through all hobby game distributors, so if your local store isn't carrying it, ask them to order one for you!

Everyone who buys a copy of the TOME OF SECRETS is entitled to a complimentary copy of the supplement in PDF: Details can be found on the last page of the book.

Will it be aviable here at paizo?

A fine product! I hope we will see a sequel.

Will this be available to order at Amazon.com?

Any chance of errata being posted soon for those of us who picked up the hard copy? I know there's some rolled in with the updated pdf, but it would be nice to show some love to those of us still supporting the print trade.

I announced this in another TOME thread -- and we've also been telling every print purchaser who contacts us to get their free PDF -- but I'll restate it here:

A single-sheet PDF to keep with your book that summarizes the errata corrections can be downloaded here:

Thanks. I like the book and I hope that you all keep publishing more books.

Have you visited the errata thread recently? There are still a number of questions that people still have? Or is this the end all be all of errata? Maybe a FAQ?

No, not recently. The errata PDF is our final official word. Any other questions we're considering a matter of individual interpretation for GMs in their own individual campaigns.

I have to admit it would be interesting to hear what the designer intent was with some of the classes for questions yet answered. For instance the fact the Swashbuckler's Weapon Training doesn't show up on his chart brings up questions of whether is ability is meant to be exactly like the fighter's ability or only apply a single time?

That's unfortunate.

There are more than a few questions that people have been awaiting some kind of "official answer" too.

I agree. Seems sort of a cop out. The book has good stuff, but you should clarify the intent where it is questionable. A prime example that was asked several time on the forum:

With regards to bonus feats, is the Swashbuckler meant to have some fighter-level equivalency for qualifying for certain combat feats, as several of the bonus feats in their list require certain levels in the fighter class, or are these feats included in the list for multiclass fighter/swashbucklers?

It's good to see a product that was released the same day as our first PFRPG book, is now available for wide release. Way to go!

Indeed. The Book of Arcane Magic was released in print August 13, 2009, the same day as the Core Rulebook.

I saw the print copy of this book in Compleat Strategist last week and took the opportunity to leaf through it.

Whilst not a fan of the cover art/layout, the quality of the book itself seems to be top notch. The printing is very crisp, the line art is really good ... nothing bad to say, actually!
