I just read wednsdays blog.

Ambrus Valsin? What the hell happened to Janiff Ivulxtin (PCCS pg.195)?

My guess is you have not received the latest copy of the correct version of the history as written by the church of Asmodeus. I'm sure a Chelaxian representative will be along shortly.

Please remember to have your incorrect version of the history available for our representative to recover and destroy. We apologize for the typos or research limitations in your older version and hope you embrace the updated history provided.

Clearly Ivulxtin retired at the end of 4708 AR and his associate Valsin took over the esteemed role in 4709 AR. This sort of discrepancy is easily justified by the progressing timeline.

Yeah, I just really liked Janiff!

There was a brief but deadly outbreak of fire cancer in the Grand Lodge in early 4909, possibly as a result of something somebody brought back from a mission. Clerics were called in, and it was quickly hushed up to avoid a panic, but several notable Pathfinders were claimed, including Janiff.

Is this explanation canon?

The Pathfinders are not officially commenting on how fire cancer ravaged their upper ranks.

Their upper ranks... 200 years into the future!

Sounds like they want to forget about last Starday, when everybody pooled their coin together for that night out on the town.

Whoops! That's 4709, not 4909.

Fire cancer...

I hear people contract it in their sleep after asking too many questions.

It looks just like someone doused you with lamp oil and set you on fire in your sleep, and watched, laughing, as you burned to death.

I hear Andoran will have an outbreak of this soon, conicidentally afflicting everyone who was at a certain meeting badmouthing Cheliax.
