Looks like we still have to wait for WF2...
*ROARS*

Can anyone give me an estimation on when we can sumbit for WF3?

Sovereign Court

Getting a copy of WF2 would ease the sting of not being selected for RPG superstar

Lilith, since I know you're reading this thread, did you get my edits? (Don't need a reply back I guess; I'm just concerned that the email address is still valid.)

begin writing, you worry about submits when they are asked, but calculating ... i would say april or may

wy? well they need it printed for August... that emans they need to check every submit, ask for art, edit submits, review art, organize it.. and then print it...

so an estimate of 2 or 3 months toget it done, sounds right.

Wayfinder #3 would need to be out in time for PaizoCon, in June, so adjust back a couple of months. :)

Begins scribbling mightly.

I think Lilith is saying Feb-Mar for Wayfinder 3 since the convention (PaizoCon) is in the middle of June.

duh!

somehow i got confused with Gencon :P

I blame the Pathfinder RPG relising date :P

any way i am not wrong... BEGIN writing now :P

Release date: Sometime next week

Crystal has passed the work back to us and now we have to give some finishing touches and proofread and stuff. So, for sure, WF2 is out next week.

Sorry for the delay guys, but lots of things got in the way and as you know, "fan gigs" stuff gets a lower priority agains work and family. The Wayfinder is super important to us but right now lots of work deadlines (and search for!) are of utter importance and we struggle to continue working on the WF as we pull all the work stuff off.

Wayfinder 3 is unofficially set for PaizoCon 3, which means the it has to be completely finished by May 1st in order for us to print it (if so). So, as soon as Liz and I plot things over, the call for articles will go out and I'm thinking it won't be long for that to happen...

The Exchange

Good little froggy!

I really should go to sleep, but I thought I'd share some links for art I've done for Wayfinder #2.

All you people who post links to pics on deviantart make me cry. The Deviant site is blocked at my employer.

We can post finished illustrations before the magazine ships?

Yes, but if you do, they reduce your commission by half.

Hugo didn't b****-slap me for the Zon-Zon, but he did make me cover Alicavniss Vonnarc in hats until the issue comes out. But she's special.

Really, I'm not too sure what the policy is; I'd stick with previews, just to be sure. With Alicavniss, honestly, I'd been up for a day and really didn't think about it beforehand.

I'm holding off on other images until after release, though. I've got a cover mock-up photo I made that shows off another artists' work, and I don't want to ruin their surprise until after people get a chance to see it.

My job does the same, sir. I try not to be checking my DeviantART pageviews at the day job as a matter of course, but still. :P

I'll post up Alicavniss Vonnarc on my Livejournal after the issue comes out, if you want.

Uh quick question I notice there is a Paizo group on deviant art and I was wondering if you had to be able to draw to be a member (I can't) and if you don't have to be able to how does one go about joining it?

Oh, I was just asking about this today. Is it still a week or two for completion?

Yesterday they said due next week. So I assume that still holds true today.

Yep; there's probably a button somewhere to join up as a member. I'm listed as a contributor because DitzyDM (Admin for the group) gave me an invite. So don't worry about accidentally signing up as a contributor or something. She sets that. You can probably also send her a note on DeviantART or post a message on her page, which is here.

For everyone, the dA group is here.

Yep; just talked to Hugo a few hours ago and it looks like he's got everything he needs to finish it up, hopefully during the weekend. I dunno what sort of contract they've got worked out with Paizo, but if it's similar to mine in regards to uploads, I'd expect it no earlier than Monday evening, assuming he's got it done by then.

At any rate, it's still on schedule for release next week.

Update:

All articles and art is done. We are just proofreading it and doing the last editing. Also we are expecting the foreword from [CENSORED] which should be in soon.

I can tell you this: WF2 is SO MUCH COOLER than WF1 that you'll forget the first ever existed :P The release date still is on next week. I don't have a date yet but its 99% certain its next week. The only thing that would hold it is the mighty PostMonster General if he uploads it later than next week. I expect to send it to Paizo around monday.

Artists:
Art "policy": Previews can be posted under "permission". Of course every artist owns their art and they can do as they please with it, but there are some key pieces that we want to keep as "surprises" so that the readers enjoy the 'zine even more, so we appreciate if you ask us if you can make your image public before doing so ;)

Writers:
I can't remember if Liz posted a list of those articles that made it in. But I can tell you that those that didn't will still be published on a [CENSORED] way.

Sorry, Hugo, I've been busy with a lot of [CENSORED]. I'll get on it by [CENSORED]; at the very least, late this upcoming [CENSORED], since I got that [CENSORED] I still gotta go to. I'm the head [CENSORED] on that [CENSORED], after all.

Wayfinder #2 looks mighty [CENSORED], by the way. You should be [CENSORED].

Glad you like it, [CENSORED]. Unfortunately, any attempt to even fill in the blanks on the above [CENSORED] will lead to prosecution to the fullest extent of the law under the [CENSORED] Act of [CENSORED]; so unless you like being sent to [CENSORED] for [CENSORED], I'd recommend against even looking at it.

Kevin, DA is also for writers, so you can join up as contributor and add your texts... in the end its Ditzy call, but I don't they she would close any doors.

Behold it's 1000-word majesty!

I've been sitting on it for a while, I didn't know if I was allowed to post it to DMTools or PFwiki, etc.

Hugo; did you end up using one of Sarah's pics, or more?
I have a feeling she didn't mail you direct after the first, but simply posted more pics of a certain BBEG to dA, thinking you'd know what they were for.

Update: Liz is almost finish doing the final proofreading on the draft and Crystal and I will do some final layout between today and tomorrow. So if all goes well it should be at the Paizo's server on wednesday or Thursday latest.

The last text has been submitted (paizonian overlord foreword) and all is ready and complete. Si is just a little detailing now. No biggie.

I should say. With a guy like me on-call to whip up art pieces in 40 minutes, you guys can get it submitted last week, gosh darnit.

Speaking of last-minute, butt-saving art, here's one: Drugs of Golarion!
