Traits and starting hit points under the new Pathfinder rules

Rules Questions

Hi,

i have two question regarding the new final(and awesome ) ruleset of pathfinder

what are the starting hit points?
in the beta there was a lot of option for the gm to decide what hit
points the starting pc's would begin with, i cant find the same rulez
here ...was it removed( wich would be sad, the idea was good ) ? or did
i miss something

can we use the traits system with this ruleset ?
are the traits system used in the pathfinders path adventure usable
with this set of rules ?

Well, I dunno bout the core rulebook, since neither question seems to be addressed there.

But the Council of Thieves adventure path recommends downloading the free traits PDF and using two traits.

The same COT AP includes 4 pregenerated characters, and all of them have maximum HP at level 1, so evidently this is expected. None of them have any bonus HP, so the various bonus HP options from Beta seem to have disappeared entirely (from Core and from the AP).

So I would say, while it's up to each DM individually, the AP seems to support Max HP at level 1 and two traits (although I note that the pregenerated characters have no traits themselves).

The core rulebook does state (p12, under hit points) that a character gains maximum hit points if its first hit die is from a character class.

The sidebar in the beta rules containing optional rules for bonus hit points at first level did not make it into the final book.
