My variant Barbarian: Reckless Brute

Homebrew and House Rules

This is my take on barbarians .. might be abit over the top, but i thought
i would post it here and get some feedback :)

Reckless Brute

My goal was a non finesse warrior, savage and with little regards
to personal safety in combat. also a character who is not so focused
on what weapon he is using.

So hope you have some feedback.

Its the main difference from fighter and ranger, they are more finess and trained .. this class is more about Str and Con.

In the end the Reckless will have abit less BAB than a fighter, but mutch more damage and one less attack, or thats the whole point anyways

Well, actually, I didn't like it too much. +18 Str in the end is too much, specially since there are no daily uses and the guy is Large and deals 2 str with a 2hander.

Not a BAD idea, just needs work.
The Tracking is off, and the idea of a BRUTE that can take tons of damage and all kinda should have less armor prof. no evasion or uncanny dodge in my eyes. Just a thought, glad to help in anyway I can.

Thanks for your imput :)

I will try to explain better, i do see your points though

A fighter at lvl 20 will have +8 str to his favored weapon group if
you convert the +4 to hit and damage into str (from Weapon Training)
And not counting stats will have 24 BAB at that lvl and 4 attacks

The Reckless gets +16 str at 20 and will have 23 BAB (8+15), but will
do good damage per 1 hit with a wider range of weapons,
with two handed weapons they will do abit more damage than a
fighter with 4 attacks, if my math is not way off

I see this class as more of a tribal/clan type of being, and sutch
they hunt from a very early age, thats why i put the tracking in.

I see your point in evasion, was very uncertain about putting that
in .. but after being hit by just about anything and everyting in the
game .. you learn to duck, but it might be too mutch i agree.

Kinda suprised that you didnt mention Raging Blood .. hehe :)

I should also say that the game i will run this class in is very
restricted when it comes to multiclass, this class will not be able
to multiclass, and Monk, Cleric and Druid also have major restrictions
on them, (Paladin and Bard are banned)

And i really really dislike daily use stuff, just makes no sense to me.
Is why im trying to balance this class vs Fighter.
