Yeah, the downloads server is being really finicky since the move. I'm considering just disabling the My Downloads page altogether until we can hammer it back into shape.
OH!!! noes! wish i had read this before, just purchased my core rule book (like in the last 20 minutes) and i cant download it :(
hope you are able to fix it soon and that my purchase was not effected by this malfunction.

You'll be able to access your downloads when we make the server happy again. Unfortunately that may take until Monday. :(

Some sort of notice would have been nice, on the home page or on the front page of the store. This is just bad busniess strategy.
I realize that tech breaks down from time to time, and problems are unaviodable, but my purchasing a product that can't be received WAS unaviodable, and now, even though I know that I will eventually receive my PDF, I can't help but feel swindled because Piazo has my money and I have no product. Customers ALWAYS remember the bad feelings asscociated with a busniess better than the good ones. Alot of ill will could be avoided by posting a warning.Seoni, Portella |

Yeah no harm done. the pdf will be available soon, however a notice on the ordering system would have made less frustrating for me when i tried to get the download and account pages up for 10 minutes.

Hey y'all
Sorry for all the issues with the website move. We really thought the site would be down for an hour ot two at most. We started the move just after eleven yesterday. We thought we would eat lunch around 1 or so. Instead, Vic and I ate at 10:30 last night! And we still can't access our servers at the new offices since that is all messed up as well. I am typing this from my iPhone. Trust me, if there was any way at all to put up a warning right now, we already would have. But that needs to be done from an office computer for security reasons and as I have said those computers are still not working. We are working on all this today and hopefully can get most of the problems fixed.
Sorry again. This was the worst case of Murphy's Law ever and is making for one of the worst weekends of my life :(.

Lisa, there is one way of looking at this. There is only way to go from here, and that is up.
I figured that there was no way for you to know if the system would work properly or not until you set everything up. So the idea of you sending out a notice was not even thought of until after the fact. You know 20-20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Just my 2 cp.

The downloads server should be back online now.
I just read about what you guys are going through this weekend. When did you decide to hire "Murphy?" (Murphy's Law) You should have read the fine print in that contract. LOL
Seriously, you guys are going to need Beer and Pizza when this move is over.

All the fires seem to be out here for the most part and everything is moved in. <takes a deep, deep breath>. It turns out our remote server needed to be rebooted and it took a bit to find someone on a Saturday, but we did and they rebooted and everything looks good now. I'm sure there will be a few more tweaks and stuff to take care of, but I, for one, will be glad to take tomorrow off! :)

Great news! Thanks to everyone at Paizo for the quick fix (and on your weekend too!). I was a bit confused by the download server not letting me in last night until I remembered Paizo had been moving and assumed it was related to that.
Hope that the rest of the move goes well. :)
*pops off to do some downloading*

That actually hampered our troubleshooting greatly... because it *wasn't* actually completely related to the move, but circumstances led us to believe that it was, so we wasted a lot of time heading down the wrong path.

Ahhhh, so the gremlins living in your servers decided that they needed to make things a little more difficult for you by throwing out new problems during the move. I should have thought of that, that's how every move I've ever made has worked out (well, not with servers breaking, but definitely with gremlins getting involved). :)
