I think this was in the main book, or at least touched on briefly. I thought about a shopping mini game. You would take the item cards and develop a vendors inventory. Lay them out in front of the shopping player so he can browse the wares. Give several other players mini cards, with other shoppers detailed on the cards. These cards would have max gold and quirks the shopper would have. When the player is looking the other players can ask about various goods as well. When the main player makes his choice, the other player then attempts to buy the same item. It should be clear that the player will get his item this shouldn't be used to punish players. The players and the dm can then go to town pretending to shop and bargain. The dm can do combo deals or any number of interesting things. Sorry its so rough right now but it popped in my head and I wanted to get it out there before I forgot. This can be modified in any number of ways, groups who like more dice dependancy can add init and char checks. I am doing a Legacy of Fire campaign and was thinking of ways to spice things up, the core book mentioned inititive so I thought this might be fun.
