Hiya, Solnes. Good news for you and Kellen. I'm also glad you're feeling better.

David, good luck with the job hunt and/or law school.

Woodraven, you're in the home stretch. What do you have left?

Callous Jack, sorry to hear about your door and security system. I'll send some badgers out there to beef up security.

Mairkurion, sorry to hear about the toothache. I've never had to have anything like that done (knock on you).

Patrick, you are a *mad* monkey.

Hi, Mac. I don't know any good sites either. Sorry.

Hi and bye, Flash. He's as quick as his namesake...

The doctor prescribed Prednisone for my daughter, so she should start feeling better by the end of the day.

Phew. Lots of stuff to catch up on.

taig, glad your daughter is doing better. I know how that goes. Asthma sucks. :/

Solnes, glad to see that you made progress with the school stuff.

Anything else important that I missed, apologies, but it's really hard to think straight. I seem to have gotten some sort of nasty stomach bug. Hypoglycemia means I have to eat, but I can't actually keep it down. This sucks. :(

Hope you feel better soon. My game tonite got canceled 'cause of that, so it's shopping. I prefer spending imaginary money on imaginary goodies.

Other than making my daughter hyper and opening the potential up for night terrors...oh, right, it is nasty.

It also has some other bad side-effects depending on how long she's on it. Be careful of the dosage as a friend of mine was given the wrong amount and had some horrible things happen.

Good Luck Taig... I will keep her in my prayers.

RPG Superstar 2012

Thanks, guys. She's taking 3 20mg pills a day for 5 days. We try to avoid it if we can.

And, um, what "horrible things" are we talking about here?

Hey Taig,

As I suggested to I believe it was Lynora, check out askapatient.com. They're a good site when it comes to getting street-level reviews of a medication; I find WebMD to be a bit out of touch. Also, I suggest you relay your experiences with the medication there as well, if it's a bad experience it can go a long way to mitigate the feelings that go along with it.

{EDIT} Also keeping her in my prayers and thoughts.

If it's just for five days, she'll be fine.

I was on it for months and it wasn't fun.

Prayers are with ya Taig.
Did you ask the pharmicist about the side effects? They tend to be more honest than the docs.

I feel for you, Solnes.

OK. I looked around, and the prednisone doesn't seem to be a concern. I talked to my wife, who's usually overprotective about these sorts of things, and I found out we've given it to my daughter before.

Thanks for your concern, everyone. I really do appreciate it. :)

Sorry taig, I though about it afterwards and I didn't mean to freak you out or anything like that.

No problem. I'd prefer not to give medication to my children that might harm them, so I appreciate you telling me about problems with it.

My last comment on this subject is that should those five days ever turn into weeks or months, then look further into the drug and ask lots of questions. Anyways, hope she feels better!

Just my brain melting (sorry Aberzombie, well look at the bright side if you ever have to go on a liquid diet it's ready for you). I have now gone 10 days without tobacco/chew. Need to do something to get rid of the stress of finals.

Hello, Moorluck. You didn't miss much, other than Gary locking the thread three times. We had to hire Sebastian to get an injunction. He's not cheap. By the way, your portion of the bill comes to $750,000.

WooT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work. Giving up something as tough as tobacco during a stressful item is actually a good thing long term. You hurt more now and less later. A young ladies company always worked for me but what can I say I was a man-whore when I was younger. Still a bit of a flirt which drives the missus nuts but she knows I am not going anywhere, so its all good. You may need a different outlet. A punching bag maybe or violent video games are always nice.

{did I Mention my father died of emphysema at age 50 because of life long smoking, never had a chance to know him since my mother moved away and he died just before I could go visit.}

I think that is part of the problem. Use it or loose it. Keep using yours Woodraven, until it burns out into a nasty shade of grey!
